Cassina’s most complex chair and exemplifies the company’s excellence in the field of carpentry and quality manufacturing, the best of what the Meda area north of Milan can supply, MedaMade, as it is known. This contemporary design, the outcome of technological innovation backed by fine artisanal skills, starts from a structure in solid ash wood, shaped by state-of-the-art CNC machinery, and then finished by hand by seasoned craftsmen. Among the details worthy of note: the all-wood joints, typical of all Cassina’s products, and the stitching that fulfils both a technical and an aesthetic function. The timeless design of this extremely comfortable chair makes it an ideal choice both in the home and in a contract environment.

Defying the laws of physics, going beyond what we normally understand by the conditions of equilibrium, this bookcase is nothing short of a manifesto for Cassina’s design and construction capabilities. After a lengthy period of research and development, ably assisted by state-of-the-art technology, the company’s designers created a production prototype of the original 1940 piece that architect Franco Albini made as a one-off for his Milan home. Respecting the authentic underlying concept of the design, with its compelling experimental feel, as well as its surprisingly spare, linear looks, today’s model preserves the minimal ideal of the original: a feeling of air and light so that the books and objets seem to float free. Thus does Cassina restore to the contemporary world of design one of its most emblematic artefacts, a piece that has acquired the status of a work of art, as magical now as it was when it was first seen. It is now also available in an exclusive limited edition in ashwood stained black with stainless steel metallic caps and elements.

How much does it cost?

The cost depends on your brief’s requirements. You can also calculate the approximate price with the pricing document i’ll provide or you can get the exact project estimation by contacting me .

What is your turnaround time?

For a typical assignment, like the 3D modeling of a single house and 2 or 3 exterior views it’s 2-3 working days.

The exact TAT, however, depends on many factors – the number of views, complexity, details, etc.

What do I need to provide?

The source files, dwg drawings and other specification needed depends on the task itself. Anyway, if you don’t already have a 3D of your project or it turns out not to be suitable for this use I’ll need every essential 2D drawing of it, pictures or sketch that might be helpful to understand your expectations.

How will I communicate with the team throughout the process?

The main communication happens on whatever platform you feel more comfortable with. You can ask questions, leave comments and check on the progress at any time. That said,sharing the references, 3D files or similar should happen by e-mail or wetransfer depending on their size.

Are correction contemplated?

Yes, corrections to your project are free. By corrections I mean changes that are approximately less than 40% of the project workload. If the changes you want to make exceeds this limit, then we consider it a new project.

Is my data safe with you?

- I guarantee that any information about your company and projects will not become public according to our Privacy Policy;

- If you need NDA signed, you are welcome to send it over. I will examine the documents and let you know whether I can sign them and proceed with the collaboration.
