The Benwick Bugle

Page 3

EDITORIAL Welcome to this summer’s issue of the Bugle. And we hope the summer is going to be a good one for you! If you’re at a loss for activities for the children, have a look at the Benwick Butterflies Holiday Club programme on page 10. There are bound to be activities there that grab their attention. Don’t forget the Picnic between the Bridges on Sunday August 31st, with Balloon Race and Duck Race - page 8 for more details. You may well have heard of Benwick resident Emily Shepperson’s recent success in the Oasis Dream Lunch competition. Generously, her proposal that won her first place was to arrange a lunch for the whole of Benwick! Emily tells us how it came to be on page 4 and we are looking forward to finding out more!! The answers to last issue’s quiz are on page 22. There is no puzzle in this issue I’m afraid as there was no spare space. But I would really like to hear which type you like best - quizzes, word searches, crosswords, or something else. Or perhaps you don’t like any of them! Please do let me know at mail@benwickbugle.co.uk. I would also love to feature puzzles written by any of you please do send them in! The deadline for the October/November Bugle is September 20th. Have a great summer.
