FALCON FAMILY FRIDGE

The Falcon Family Fridge is a freestanding outdoor structure with shelves for large plastic bins to hold dry goods, and it also contains a full fridge for perishable goods. We operate almost entirely on community donations!

RUNNING THE FALCON FAMILY FRIDGE

Staff member, as part of their role, oversees a small budget which covers the cost of our student employees and weekly grocery trips

Student employees check the unit twice daily to track consumption and keep the unit stocked and clean

This is an average of close to 500 items per week, directly feeding members of our community!

The Falcon Food Fight competition has attracted upwards of 100 donors from across campus Participants engaged in fun challenges for prizes all while giving to this effort. Extra points for perishables helped keep the fridge full

Our Amazon Wishlist allows food to be delivered directly to the unit, making it easy for people to donate our most needed items Student employees manage distribution of these items so we always have plenty available to take.

Baby Falc Fridays

This onboarding cycle we have worked with various departments across the institution to host 18 Baby Falc Fridays which provide an innovative way for offices to share resources and answer questions for incoming students and families via Instagram with an average of 1300 views per posting Vector Courses

This year, we achieved the 2025 Seal of Prevention and reached Dynasty Status! Vector reports that high school students are 34% more likely to attend an institution with this seal, and institutional recipients have an 8% higher firstyear retention rate

Collaborated with 12 different offices across the Institution to build out this calendar of events to introduce new students to the wide variety of opportunities they have access to in and outside of the classroom.
