As you prepare to come to campus in the January here are a few things that you might want to know about Bentley to help you on your journey.

A note from Academic Services:

Transfer Credit Guidelines 

A maximum of 60 credits from all sources of transfer credit will be awarded



Only two courses may transfer into the academic major area of study



Only one course may transfer into the academic minor area of study



If you completed AP, IB, college, etc. credit prior to your college

We are so excited to welcome you virtually on January 5! Here’s what to expect over the next few weeks: Prior to the webinar, Check your Bentley email for advising information specific to you that will reflect your transfer credit and intended major.

January 5 Join us for the Transfer Registration Webinar to receive an introduction to academic advising, curriculum, and fall course registration at Bentley. Immediately following the webinar, you will register for fall semester classes. Advisors will be available to address any questions.

For a college course to qualify for credit consideration, it must meet the following guidelines: Final grade of C or higher (at or above a 2.0 equivalent on a 4.0

What is Transfer Seminar?

Transfer Seminar (TS222) is a course that



Bentley student. This six-week course is designed to ease all aspects of your transition by providing you with information to get you adjusted to campus life and with the academic resources that will make you successful in the classroom.

Advice from Transfer Students Hear from students who transferred to Bentley from another institution. 

The OLs (Orientation Leaders) are super friendly and great resources for all things Bentley, so be sure to ask them questions during orientation and throughout the year!



The workload may be more time consuming than your previous school, but it is manageable with your transfer credits.



Some of your general business or education classes may be with primarily freshmen, but Bentley does a great job of integrating you with students in your year as well—so don’t stress!



Wait until you get to the first week of class and get your syllabus before buying textbooks to confirm what is actually necessary for the class.



There is a main dining hall—the 921—which is where your swipes work, but there are tons of other eating options on campus. Discretionary dollars come with your meal plan, and they can be used at many locations on campus! Explore and enjoy all of the campus locations!



Get involved right away. It’s the best way to meet new people who share your interests. Put yourself out there to make the most of your experience.



Remember, you’re not the only new transfer student! Connect with the students you are transferring in with.



In terms of housing, traditionally most of our single rooms are located in our first-year residence halls, though we may have single spaces available in our upperclassmen housing. No matter your living arrangement, you will have a wonderful RA and RD that will serve as a resource for you in the building.

Touching the Falcon is Bentley Tradition and will bring you good luck during your time at Bentley!

Campus Activities Board Bentley University’s Campus Activities Board, or CAB, is the largest programming organization on campus. CAB is responsible for approximately 50 events each year, including many Bentley traditions.

Some of the organizations most notable events include Homecoming, Spring Day, Super Bingo, and the Comedy Show.
