COMMUNITY SERVICES

UNITED SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS (USO) HAS ARRI V ED AT FO RT BENNING! Previously we announced that Army Community Service is partnering with USO to bring the USO Transition Services to Fort Benning. We welcome Nicole Applegate to Fort Benning who is a USO Transition Specialist here to help create your action plan. The USO Transition Program works with strategic partners to connect service members and military spouses to resources through a holistic approach, focusing on employment, education, financial readiness, mentorship and increased access to relevant veterans’ benefits in their communities. Through the creation of an individualized action plan, USO Transition Specialists collaborate with individuals to identify their personal and professional goals and build a roadmap to achieving them while also identifying services and resources that are the best fit for their needs. This program offers support to service members even 12 months after they have officially left the military, providing them with resources along their journey to civilian life. USO Transitions Specialists provide free services through one-on-one support (either virtually, or in person) and help military families create a plan for success now, and for the future. Nicole’s office is located at ACS, building 7, room 115 and she can be reached at 706-545-5385 or 912498-7159, weekdays from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., on Wednesday’s the office is closed between 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. No appointment required.
