FORT BENNING FITNESS CLASSES
Great News! Fitness Classes at the Smith Fitness Center are back! For your safety, space is limited and masks must be worn during the class. Participants must sign-in at the front desk upon arrival and payments must be made in person through our touchless credit card system. Classes are $3 each and will be filled on a first come, first serve basis. Frequent students can buy in bulk and save with our 12-class punch card for only $30! Active Duty Soldiers can continue to participate in the 6:30 a.m. classes for free. Please note, this program is open to military ID cardholders only. Keep an eye out on our social media and website, we will be announcing the new schedule soon!
DOUGHBOY TRACK AND FIELD The Doughboy Track and Field continues through spring 2021. The steps and pull-up bars will remain mostly available for use during the project. However, there may be times when the entire stadium will be closed. The well-loved running track at Doughboy Stadium will be lengthened to a full quarter mile, get a fresh rubberized surface and have a drainage system that will keep it from flooding during rainy season. Resurfacing the track will make it safer, easier and more comfortable to run, as it is used heavily used by the Fort Benning community. We thank you for your patience during this construction. 5K RUN SERIES
Good news! The Virtual 5k series registration has been extended until December 31. Virtually complete the Bunny Run, Run to Remember and Summer Soaker run for only $30. Limited quantities of t-shirts are still available. Register and pay for your runs today through WebTrac. Please note participants must provide proof of each 5k run they complete in order to receive their medal. If you missed out on the 2019-2020 Ugly Sweater Run and/or the 4-Legged Love Run, you can run them virtually for $10 each to complete your medal set! Wondering, what’s in store for the 20202021 running series? We are excited to announce they are back and we’ve made some improvements we know you will enjoy! The annual 4-Legged Love Run will return on February 20 and will conclude with Paw Fest. This 5k run will end at the MWR Dog Park located on Zuckerman Avenue, where we will have activities, contests and more!
