THIRTEEN patrons Jane and Bill Butler

PATRONS JANE AND BILL BUTLER have been THIRTEEN members since the 1960s, and their enthusiasm for public television is as robust as ever. “We never miss the NewsHour, Nature and Bill Moyers,” says Jane, the first Vice Chair of the Friends of THIRTEEN, an organization that builds links between the station and the community through local partnerships and other activities. The Butlers are also longtime supporters of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute and Lincoln Center. “I volunteered at Lincoln Center before becoming active at THIRTEEN, so I was thrilled when the Tisch WNET Studios at Lincoln Center opened. It’s a wonderful way to engage with the community.”
