Ajar Technology celebrates milestone 20th anniversary

Since 2005, Chamber member Brentford-based Ajar Technology has supported enterprises in their digital transformation. As a top-tier systems integrator, they provide world–class audio visual, physical security and niche integrated solutions across sectors with a key mission to be the preferred partner for technology leadership, innovation and exceptional service.

The company was founded 20 years ago in the vibrant community of Ealing, marking the start of its innovative journey. That same year, they secured their first project with a local Police Training Centre, demonstrating a commitment to public safety through technology. By 2006, their growth led them to establish their first official office in Northfields.

In 2007, Ajar launched a Transport and Control Room project, establishing a foundation for future advancements. In late 2008, Ajar Technology was recognised for excellence with the first industry award, The Innovation Awards in Amsterdam.

In 2011, Ajar made the move to their Brentford headquarters with full office workspaces, achieving their first ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 accreditations. During the 2012 Olympics, Ajar assisted with the CATV transmission and distribution services and in 2016 they proudly launched a flagship residential project.

Over the next 10 years, Ajar Technology delivered successful projects with Heathrow Airport including the very first APOC in

Europe, as well as securing multi-site security and audio-visual projects and contracts with multiple UK police forces, local and central government agencies.

In 2021, they celebrated a successful year with NSI Gold Certification and awards such as Control Room Project of the Year awarded at a Global AV event in Barcelona.

The following year, they officially launched their EU entity, Ajar Technology EU BV, in The Hague, expanding their business into new markets. They quickly made an impact, delivering their first project in Ireland, followed by more successful projects in Germany, France and Sweden.

In 2023, it was another award-winning year with Ajar Technology receiving the Heathrow Airport Social Value Supplier of the Year award, and the West London Chambers of Commerce Business of the Year award.

At the end of 2024, they were proud to be named the DfE T Levels Employer of the Year in London, setting the stage for the 20th anniversary in 2025, an exciting milestone for the team and partners.
