Brightsun Travel has been honoured with The King’s Award for International Trade, one of the UK’s most prestigious business accolades. Personally approved by His Majesty the King, the award recognises their outstanding business achievements. Founded in 1986 as a small family firm, Brightsun Travel has grown into a multimillion-pound international company led by Managing Director Deepak Nangla. The company now employs over 350 people and operates from offices in the UK, Ireland, India, and the UAE.
The King’s Award recognises Brightsun’s impressive overseas sales growth, which has steadily increased over the past three years and now makes up more than 25% of its business. With trade partnerships in 21 countries, Brightsun continues to expand its global reach, offering a

Managing Director Deepak Nangla said, “We are truly honoured to receive this award, especially as we approach our 40th anniversary. It not only celebrates our global growth but also opens doors to new opportunities.”
He added, “The past five years have been incredibly tough – particularly for the travel industry – but resilience, strategic thinking, and staying true to your values are key.
Awards like this reflect our team’s purpose, perseverance, and passion.”
Original founder and chairperson R.S. Nangla credits the company’s ongoing success to three core values: “Putting customers first, treating our staff like family, and investing in technology.”
Brightsun Travel anticipates that the King’s Award will further strengthen its reputation, enhance its appeal to international partners, and open doors to new commercial opportunities, including investment, joint ventures, and market expansion.
