SMEs from across the region came together for a vibrant morning of networking, collaboration and idea-sharing –all over breakfast and a good brew.

Hosted by Hertfordshire Chamber and held at Theobalds Enterprise Centre – one of the hubs within the Broxbourne Enterprise Centres – the Networking with Broxbourne SMEs event showcased the strength and spirit of the local business community.

The event was sponsored by Ambition Broxbourne, the economic growth initiative led by Broxbourne Borough Council, which works in partnership with local organisations to drive innovation, enterprise and opportunity throughout the borough.

The morning featured a series of insightful talks and presentations from a range of speakers, including:

• Duncan Haslam – Broxbourne Borough Council

• Richard Roberts – Hertford Regional College CSCS Test Centre

• Ed Baker – Career Camp/Work Ready

• Kim Masters – Make Peace with Money Programme

• Tania Diggory – Calmer

• Jacquie Gascoigne – Step2Skills

• Zoe Galea – Broxbourne Enterprise Centres

• Julie Creffield – Broxbourne Enterprise Centres

The event was expertly hosted by Mary Sykes of the Chamber, with special recognition given to Helen Ashby, Economic Development Officer at Broxbourne Council, for her outstanding work in bringing the event together.

Among the Patrons in attendance were representatives from Ashbourne Insurance Services, Ambition Broxbourne, Hertfordshire Community Foundation and Oaklands College.

Donna Schultz, CEO of the Chamber, said: “It was wonderful to see such strong support for local enterprise and economic growth.

“We’re so proud to host events like these – ones that foster a thriving, connected business community where entrepreneurs and business leaders can exchange ideas, forge partnerships and build a stronger local economy.”
