Q1 Tell us a bit about your business? Magnite PR is an award-winning integrated PR and Communications agency. We help growing brands and businesses raise their profiles and build their reputations in highly competitive markets. We are restlessly ambitious to be the best at what we do and to deliver creative and commercially effective campaigns.
Q2: What gives your business ‘the xfactor’? We combine the energy and fresh thinking of a start up with the skills and expertise gained from some of the biggest and best communications agencies in the world.
Q3: What motivated you to set up the business? I want to be my own boss and to build an agency that inspires others to be ambitious.
Q4: What do you like most about working for a start-up? Every day we are driven by the knowledge that our future is in our own hands, which can be scary and exhilarating in equal measure.

Q5: What has been your greatest business success to date? We set up Magnite PR in a new location with no clients, external investment or base so winning our first creative brief from Stevenage Borough Council helped set us on our way.
Q6 What has been your lowest moment? I am always one project short of being happy so it is always a low moment if we don’t win a pitch or a tender. We always strive to learn from the disappointment and improve for the next opportunity.
Q7: In terms of business achievements, where do you want to be within the next five years? We want to be the leading integrated PR and Communications agency in Hertfordshire with a reputation for great work, sustained growth and for being a great place to work.
Q8: What would be your top tip to someone thinking of starting up their own business? Think big but start small. Be ambitious about what you want to achieve but develop a realistic step-by-step plan to get you there. Look for measurable results that give you a better understanding of what aspects of your marketing budget are working the hardest and what parts aren’t.
