m o r f d A wor r e f f a g the Good afternoon everybody, and warm welcome to everyone connected with Trimley.

Two games just to quickly report on from the last two weeks, starting with a hard earned 1-0 win against Haughley. A very tight match against a very good team but courtesy of Chris Sillet’s knee in the 1st half we came away with the 3pts. A win we deserved in my opinion, we were very solid defensively, cutting out the mistakes from the Henley game and with the attacking players we have we always look like we will score. Everybody played there part and it was pleasing to bounce back with a win.

Last Saturday were made the short journey to table topping Halesworth who hadn’t dropped a point or conceded a goal, and were fresh of a fine 4-0 victory at Henley.

But after the sock incident, no names Wilko!!!! We came away with a superb 2-1 win. A good 1st half saw us go in at halftime 2-0 up, both goals from the penalty spot, both despatched superbly by Chris Sillet with both penalties given for fouls against Tom Mower. Second half we knew they would come at us and they did, and we never really got going but again defensively as a team we were strong and organised and with there goal coming from a late O.G we managed to hold on for another 3pts. Overall against Halesworth we could have been a lot better 2nd half with the ball, but to be picky after a fine win against the league’s in form team could seem a bit harsh. The most pleasing thing Saturday was every squad member played there part.

So after 5 games we sit joint top with 2 other teams, very early days but a fantastic start none the less. The first 5 games the players have been fantastic with there effort, attitude, togetherness and desire and long may this continue. Like I said when I got involved it will be about the squad of 16/18 players all being in it together for us to have a good season and that has been more than the case.

Good luck to the reserves this afternoon who play Trimley Reserves in the cup.
