WHAT WE RECOMMEND BOOKS, DVDS & MAGAZINES
FANTASY FANTASY MEMOIR

The Dungeon Anarchist’s Cookbook
Matt Dinniman
Welcome, Crawlers, to the fourth floor of the dungeon.
Earth has been transformed into the set of the galaxy's most watched game show- Dungeon Crawler World, a nightmarish, multilevel, video game-like dungeon filled with traps, monsters, and mind-bending puzzles. The top ten players list is populated, and Carl and Donut have made it. But that popularity comes with a price. They each now have a bounty on their head. They must work with other crawlers to solve the puzzle of the floor, but how can they do that when they don't know who to trust?
The Wee Free Men Terry Pratchett
Armed with only a frying pan and her common sense, young witchto-be Tiffany Aching must defend her home against the monsters of Fairyland. Luckily, she has some very unusual help: the local Nac Mac Feegle – aka the Wee Free Men – a clan of fierce, sheepstealing, sword-wielding, six-inchhigh blue men.
The Penguin Lessons
Tom Michell
Tom Michell rescues a penguin in Uruguay and brings him to an Argentinian boarding school. The penguin, named Juan Salvador, becomes a cherished companion and school mascot, inspiring joy, connection, and unexpected lessons in resilience.

Walking and getting outside is fantastic for kids and adults alike, but when you combine that with audiobooks and other people it becomes a treasure trove of goodness!
Walking is beneficial for kids as it promotes physical and mental wellbeing, encourages independence, and helps them connect with their environment. Regular walking strengthens bones and muscles, improves cardiovascular health, and can reduce the risk of chronic diseases later in life. It also boosts mood, reduces stress, and enhances cognitive function, making it easier for children to focus and learn.
Come start some good habits and get active this school holidays!

The term “cli-fi” became popular in the 2010s, but people have been writing cli-fi unintentionally for hundreds of years. For example, Darkness by Lord Byron, written in 1816, is an example of cli-fi.
