C HAPTER-4 LESSON-(2) LEARNT FROM FOREFATHERS
Tongue of the Righteous: Tongue of the righteous is more vital in the sight of God because God considers the recorded account of every word we spoke in our life-time while executing the final judgement. [Mathew 12.36]

(i) Why God considers the account of Man’s word: God’s word is all powerful and holy. The word became flesh and dwells with mankind [John 1:1-3] God’s word is a double-edged sword penetrating soul & spirit, joints and marrow; discerner of thoughts and intentions of heart [Hebrew 4.12] Moreover, Lord Jesus said, “Good man speaks from the treasure of the heart”(Fig. 32), (i.e.,) The words we spoke are the reflection of heart. So, Lord measures the heart’s condition based on the words of our mouth. [Mathew 12.36].
God expects righteous person (Fig.31) to
rethink and prefer the word usage. Bible records it in Proverbs 10.20, “The tongue of the righteous is choice silver”. According to the above four verses, word of God (through prophets-God inspired) is operational (not a philosophical). It has a power to Fig.32 Heart of Righteous
construct/build other people’s life. On the flip
side, wrongly used word would have ripples of effects in others life too. 27
