We are excited to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Bellarmine Mothers’ Guild Fashion Show! This incredible milestone would not have been possible without the steadfast support of our Bellarmine community, families, and friends. While the primary goal is to raise essential funds for tuition assistance, this event also provides a meaningful opportunity to showcase our senior boys and express our deepest gratitude to all of you.
The Fashion Show has a rich and colorful history and one of the patrons of this event for the past 70 years is Fr. Jerry Wade, S.J. ‘55. The first show was hosted in a backyard garden in the Menlo Park/Atherton area when Father Wade was a junior at Bellarmine, and the mothers served as the original models. The event moved to the Cabana Hotel in Palo Alto a few years later. After Father Wade became Bellarmine’s president in 1979, the show found a new home at the Marriott on Great America Parkway. The journey didn’t stop there—subsequent venues included the Fairmont in downtown San Jose and, more recently, the Santa Clara Convention Center. While the location has evolved, the heart of the show has remained unchanged: mothers leading the way, with proceeds supporting Bellarmine’s tuition assistance program.
The Fashion Show grew significantly over the years. In the late ‘80s, a second evening show was introduced, and formal event chairs were appointed. According to Father Wade, the show blossomed when students took on the role of models, adding fresh energy and excitement. Today, Bellarmine boys and young women from local schools continue to shine on the runway.
Father Wade has retired from modeling, but not without fond memories—especially of the time he sported leather pants on the runway! He still laughs at how he had to sit on the floor to put them on and needed help peeling them off afterward. For Father Wade, the Fashion Show has always been about more than the clothes—making meaningful connections, building lasting friendships, and coming together for a worthy cause.
Thank you for being part of this special event and supporting the Bellarmine tradition.

Father Wade Farewell and Thank You
Dear Bellarmine Family and Friends,
We are thrilled to kick off the 70th annual Bellarmine Mothers’ Guild Fashion Show, a cherished tradition that has been instrumental in providing tuition assistance!
For 173 years, Bellarmine College Preparatory has provided an education rooted in the teachings of Saint Ignatius of Loyola and dedicated to forming "men for and with others." The school is committed to educating our qualified young men regardless of financial status and will provide tuition assistance to approximately 25% of our student body this school year. Your support and generosity allow young men from all economic circumstances to attend Bellarmine.
Today’s show celebrates the history that has resulted from Bellarmine’s unparalleled Jesuit education and philosophy. It is a moment to remember that trailblazers come from diverse backgrounds of men and women who started with a dream that enriched their lives and inspired all of us. Today, we commend those role models in the showcase of our senior students and their moms, our faculty, staff, alumni, and girls from neighboring schools.
We are deeply grateful to our team of dedicated parent volunteers, underwriters, sponsors, benefactors, and donors. A special congratulations to Fashion Show Chairs Nicole Razavi and Jennifer Doran, Business Chair Amy Berliner, and Production Chair Kristan Kelly. Your unwavering commitment has made it possible for every Bellarmine student to pursue their dreams and achieve the extraordinary.
Our heartfelt thanks go to Fashion Show Producer Russ Marcel ‘91, along with Bellarmine staff, faculty, and administration who have helped bring this show to the runway!
Thank you for joining us today and supporting the Bellarmine Tuition Assistance Fund and Tuition Assistance Endowment. We hope you enjoy the show!

Bellarmine’s unparalleled tuition assistance program ensures that each qualified student that has demonstrated financial need has the opportunity for a complete Bellarmine experience, regardless of the economic circumstances of his family.
With one in every four Bellarmine students receiving some level of tuition assistance, funding for this program is essential in providing the necessary resources for students who otherwise would be unable to receive a Bellarmine education. Sources of funding include earnings from the Tuition Assistance Endowment, as well as contributions through the Direct Tuition Assistance Fund.
The Bellarmine Mothers’ Guild Fashion Show for Tuition Assistance is proud to play a significant role in raising funds for such an important program and in having a positive impact on the entire school community.
