NARRATIVE BACKGROUND AND QUALIFICATIONS Believe & Achieve Foundation, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to educating and empowering the youth by means of recording, producing and promoting recording artists: primarily those who are disabled and/or disadvantaged. UNDERSTANDING NEEDS Many disabled or disadvantaged, talented artists miss the chance to follow their dreams due to finances and/or low self-esteem. Believe & Achieve Foundation recognizes this need and strives to see their dreams become a reality. Disadvantaged: Finances – Individuals are not financially comfortable in leaving their homes and moving to cities that exploit musical gifts. Believe & Achieve Foundation trains artists to perform in their communities through Inner Vision Records. Then, they are further prepared for that chance to be discovered. Assistance is offered as a stepping-stone to take them to their next potential level. Living in low-income neighborhoods makes a person want to do anything to “GET OUT”. To get out, some turn to gangs and drug dealers to fund their dreams. We give promising artists a chance to choose the right path and learn how to work for their success. Disabled: Motivation – Some go through life thinking they “should have, would have, could have,” but didn’t. Believe & Achieve Foundation staff takes out the “Didn’t” and puts in “Did!” The staff at Believe & Achieve Foundation believes in these artists and gives them that spark of hope and willingness to go the extra mile. They are encouraged to believe that they can do all things if they put their minds to it.
Acceptance – The community sees individuals for what they “see” and not what they can do. By motivating these artists they are imparted with self-acceptance. They feel good about themselves and, in turn, are able to portray a positive attitude in response to society’s labeling. PROGRAM OBJECTIVES Believe & Achieve Foundation philosophy entails emphasis of abilities, promotion of personal and professional growth and involvement from all walks-of-life without discrimination based on race, sex, age, handicap or economic background. Believe & Achieve Foundation mission is fulfilled and strengthened with the following beliefs:
Focus on accomplishments, talents and abilities Enlighten and educate both able and disabled citizens Advocate fairness in disadvantaged and disabled communities Promote quality of life through career information, assistance and vocational training in the areas of audio, video and stage performing
PROGRAM GOALS SHORT-TERM GOALS:
Continue to promote and train several current performers. Enhance current marketing strategies to promote performers. Televise additional programs that highlight personal accomplishments through events organized by Believe & Achieve Foundation recording artists. Emphasis that the “RIGHT” choices reflects a positive future. Initiate free or low-cost professional entertainment for the community, exposing a variety of local talent and musical technique. Provide a learning environment for more interns in the cooperative education fields of media and performing arts. Attain financial assistance for future television and live concerts to promote current and future performers.
LONG-TERM GOALS:
Seek, train, and promote additional artists. Produce a screenplay called “Even Me”. This production is about lessons on making the right choices when it comes to working towards goals, verses choosing the “easy way out” through financial support from gang-related activities. Relocate operations to a central and accessible office, complete with modern television and recording studio.

Train and promote several current performers Promote and organize twelve concerts Fundraisers: Raise funds through concert admissions, donations and sales Design, develop and institute an internet website Produce two professionally duplicated CD’s
Months 7-12
Train and promote several new performers Promote and organize 24 concerts Professionally record CD’s at area recording studios Fundraisers: Raise funds through concert admissions, donations and sales o Includes corporate giving o Includes t-shirt sales
Year 2
Train and promote several additional performers Promote and organize 2-3 concerts per month Fundraising Produce and Promote CD’s Lease office space for the organization

Train and promote aforementioned new performers On-going operations Design and build a modern televising and recording facility
PROGRAM SERVICES Ideal hours of operation are 11am to 7pm Tuesday through Saturday. Believe & Achieve Foundation, Inc. currently works on an as-needed basis. Believe & Achieve Foundation receives artist referrals from Rehab Counselors, word of mouth, newspaper advertisements and current company Internet Web Site. All artists go through an assessment intake that determines if they meet the following set of qualifications...
DISADVANTAGED: CHILDREN Must be under the age of 18 Must be self-motivated and goal-oriented Must be able to maintain a grade point average of 3.0
Must meet income requirements not to exceed one parent family of $25,000 and two parent family of $30,000 ADULTS Must be 19 or older Must meet income requirements not to exceed $25,000 DISABLED: Physically challenged must provide physical and physician proof of documentation OVERALL: Must be able and willing to work long periods of time Must be willing to practice one hour per day The contract has five sections and are in effect for two-years. Each artist will be required to sign a contract before any services take effect. Believe & Achieve Foundation, Inc. takes steps to insure proper assistance. Believe & Achieve Foundation’s artists are supported through the following components:
Vocal Training
A professional vocal trainer will coach artists through vocal exercises, breathing and mouth shaping techniques. Artists are educated regarding proper care of their voices to avoid loss of vocal function.
Choreography Instruction
A volunteer dance instructor will coach and choreograph dance steps for each artist.
Recording Procedures
Lessons regarding behind-the-scenes procedures are given through hands-on instruction using recording equipment. Believe & Achieve Foundation, Inc. believes that each artist should know every facet of the recording business.
Promotion/Marketing Techniques instructed how to properly address fans and learn how to promote themselves to the public.
Presentation of appearance on and off stage
Believe & Achieve Foundation maintains a fashion consultant who coaches artists
with proper on and off stage attire, application of makeup, hairstyles and accessories. Coordination and purchase of stage attire Coordination of photo sessions

With the effective work and desire of each board member and volunteer, the choice is an easy one. Help our future recording artists strive for their dreams and succeed! Listed on the Believe & Achieve Foundation web site are artists on Inner Vision Records. Choose one or more and sponsor them for as little as $10 or more, but remember we are trying to raise $5,000 to $25,000 per artist! Because your sponsorship is important to our success, we have established a structure that allows you to choose from different contribution levels. The following is a listing of our sponsorship levels. Donation Levels: • • • •
