Tombola 2025 2025

JANUARY 31FEBRUARY 2

Dear Delegates,

On behalf of the Belen administration, faculty and staff, thank you for your commitment to the Father Dorta-Duque, S.J. Memorial Tombola. The 2025 Tombola will be held from January 31 to February 2. Once again, the Culinary Extravaganza will take place the week before to kick off festivities on Saturday, January 25.

Congratulations to Carlos Erdmann '26, who won this year's student t-shirt design contest. His design will be featured on the t-shirts worn by all employees throughout Tombola weekend. Thank you to all the students who participated in the contest.

The success of this event is made possible by the camaraderie formed by faculty and staff working side-by-side with parents and students. Tombola traces its history to Cuba as early as 1919 in Colegio de Belén. Since its revival in Miami in 1968, this annual tradition brings together the Belen families and the surrounding community for a fun-filled weekend. The annual Tombola is the largest community event for the school, with net proceeds benefiting our Financial Assistance Program. All students and parents are expected to participate and work in all areas to help reach our goals.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please email me at ggarciachang@belenjesuit.org or contact your class advisor.

Thank you,

DELEGATE RESPONSIB

Maintain constant communication with the FLEX teacher and discuss and create a checklist for all that your booth might require ( i.e., decorations, paper goods, specific items).

Banners with the booths' names will be provided by the school and cannot be removed or blocked.

Students in grades 6-11 will need to work a shift alongside one of their parents. When registering, http://belenjesuit.ivolunteer.com, only include the name of the student.

A parent must volunteer to work a shift for each child enrolled at the school. For instance, if a parent has a 7th grader and a 10th grader, the parent must work a shift with each son. Senior students will work independently of their parents and will register with the Dean of Student Activity. Senior parents must register to volunteer to work in their son's FLEX class.

Remind parents to turn in raffle ticket stubs to the main office by Friday, January 31 or during the festival at the information desk in the Sarria Family Dining Hall. The deadline to turn in the stubs is 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 2.
