Students Give Back
Students in Willoughby-Eastlake City Schools have donated more than $50,000 back to the communities in which they live, through fundraising events. In addition to cash contributions, they have collected more than 6,000 pairs of socks for homeless shelters, blankets, and more than 200 pints of blood.

Wellness Clinic
During the 2016-2017 school year, WilloughbyEastlake City Schools and Lake Health will open an on-site wellness clinic at the Northern Career Institute in Eastlake. The new facility will be operated by Lake Health and will offer services to district employees and their families.
Food Pantry



The W-E Care Food Pantry, run by the WilloughbyEastlake classified staff was created to assist district families in need. Last year, 104 families received assistance from the pantry.

Safety First:
Willoughby-Eastlake City Schools works vigilantly to ensure student safety. The district has completed the following safety measures: • Adopted and installed Raptor visitor management software and protocols.
All visitors are screened prior to entrance by a background check accomplished through their government issued identification. • “Bull Pen” containment areas have been added to schools to limit direct access to students. • ALICE (ALERT, LOCKDOWN, INFORM, COUNTER, EVACUATE) response training has been completed in all school buildings, in conjunction with local law enforcement agencies, in order to offer students and staff lifesaving tactics in the event of an aggressive intruder. • MARCS (Multi-Agency Radio Communication System) radios have been installed in all school buildings. These radios serve as a direct line to local police departments as well as the County Emergency Command Center in the event of a crisis.
