When surveyed one year after graduation, 96.4% of WilloughbyEastlake students participating in the Ohio Longitudinal Transition Study were employed in the fields of their choice.


Career Technical Programs:
Career technical programs are offered to the students of Willoughby-Eastlake City Schools through the Excel TECC consortium. They are able to choose from 27 career technical programs. The programs taught in Willoughby-Eastlake are offered at two Northern Career Institute campuses, located in Willoughby and Eastlake.
84% of the graduates over the last two years from Northern Career Institute Willoughby were employed, in the military, or participating in post-secondary training.
98% of the Licensed Practical Nursing school graduates were employed or furthering their education upon graduation.



In 2015, students participated in SkillsUSA competitions. A Willoughby-Eastlake career/tech student placed third in the country in the Welding Competition. In 2016, a Willoughby-Eastlake student placed first in the country in the Welding Competition.

During the 2015-2016 school year, there were 16 Advanced Placement options available to students: • American Government • Art History • Biology • Calculus AB • Calculus BC • Chemistry • English; Language and Composition • English; Literature and Composition • Environmental Science • European History • Physics 1 • Physics C • Psychology • Spanish • Statistics • U. S. History 414 high school students took a total of 696 AP Exams
Credits
DUAL CREDIT: Students are able to take college coursework in Math, English and Social Studies while remaining on their high school campus. COLLEGE CREDIT PLUS: Partnerships with local colleges allow students to attend college and earn both high school and college credits. 4,505 College Credits were earned by our high school students through dual enrollment.

Elementary School



The Willoughby-Eastlake Preschool began the year with 190 students. The program serves special needs and typically developing children (ages three through five years) in a variety of classroom settings. The program identifies and appropriately provides for the uniqueness of each child’s needs, characteristics and abilities. Our elementary students participate in 375 minutes of math per week and 600 minutes of English/language arts per week.
