Grangewood Methodist Church on Grangewood Road, Wollaton (just behind Bramcote Lane shopping precinct) is holding its Christmas Faye on Saturday 26th November 2016. Cost of entry is £1 but children get in freeSanta will be opening our Fayre at 10am and will then enter his festive and exciting Grotto. We invite all children everywhere to come and meet Santa (and his little helpers) in his grotto and receive a special gift. At our Fayre, you will find a Raffle; Arts, Cards & Crafts; Cakes & Preserves; Jewellery; Scarves; Star Buys; Toys & Puzzles; Books; White Elephant, along with Treasure Hunt, Bar B Que, Cafe and so much more. Proceeds from our Fayre will go to the Medecins Sans Frontieres, Home; QMC Helipad Appeal & Funding for Grangewood's own Children & Family worker. Wollaton Natural History Society Wednesday November 16th is the next meeting of the Wollaton Natural History Society. Paul Hobson will give an illustrated talk on the wildlife to be found in both the coniferous and broadleaved woodlands of Britain. We meet at St Leonard’s Community Centre, Bramcote Lane, Wollaton (opposite the library) at 7.30pm. Members free. Stapleford Salvation Army are hosting their inaugural Craft and Produce Market on Saturday 12 November from 10am - 1pm on Albert Avenue, Stapleford. The stalls include clocks, jams, sewn items, cards, and soap amongst others. Teas, coffees and cakes will also be available to purchase.
