You can book and pay for your course using one of the following methods:

You’ll need to complete an application form online or print a form and return it to us (available at www.bedford.ac.uk/downloads or by calling 01234 291000). We will then invite you to a short interview to ensure that your chosen course is the right match for your skills and experience.

Online If your course shows the symbol you can book and pay online – just find your course using the Course Search at www.bedford.ac.uk/courses and click ‘Enrol Online’. Phone You can also give us a call on 01234 291000 to speak with a member of our Enquiries & Guidance team. Lines are open at the times listed opposite. Drop-in Feel free to enrol in person at reception at our Cauldwell Street Campus or Shuttleworth College Campus. Opening times are listed opposite.

Qualification levels Qualifications are split by different levels that relate to how advanced the course subject is – to take a course at a particular level, you may need to already have certain qualifications. Leisure courses Some of our courses, such as those offered just for fun or as a hobby, are split into the levels below: Level...

No formal qualifications, but can demonstrate a commitment to, and interest in, your chosen subject

Beginner – courses require no previous experience or knowledge of the subject

Generally no formal qualifications – some courses may require you to have an Entry Level qualification in your chosen subject

Intermediate – courses require some knowledge of the subject or completion of the beginner-level course

Level 1 qualifications – for example GCSEs at grades D-E, or a BTEC Diploma or NVQ at Level 1 Level 2 qualifications – for example GCSEs at grades A*-C, or a BTEC Diploma or NVQ at Level 2 Level 3 qualifications – for example A-Levels, Access to Higher Education courses, or a BTEC Diploma or NVQ at Level 3 Level 5 qualifications – for example a Foundation Degree, HND, or an NVQ at Level 5
