PUNK, A THING OF THE PAST? We asked a set of connected people their views on the new Cyberpunk 2077, this collage of opinions will no doubt influence all gamers who read this article as the content is nothing but controversial.

Lidia (The girlfireind) I have been playing Cyberpunk for the past 6 months and I have loved the in game play.

However the representation

of female characters within the game are questionable.

The point of view means that the user is always looking at the girl’s bum and they are always wearing either tight or revealing clothing. Considering the progress that feminism has made it’s astounding that gaming has not erected this problem. In my eyes it would have been really refreshing if the new Cyberpunk had a female character that broke

this past time convention and wore a long coat or any type of clothing that didn’t objectify the female character. As an 18 year old girl I don’t want to feel as if this is the norm as it kind of makes me feel like this is what is expected of women in society.

Something I really liked in the game was the graphics, they were great and allowed me to use my powerful highres monitors to their full potential. I understand that this is something that is becoming expected for these games, however it’s still really cool to see it happen in person. I think what would be really cool would be if they created a mobile game, lots of games have done this and it has been really enjoyed by so many gamers. This would allow gamers to play the game on the move or when on a long car journey increasing gaming time. This would also be great for CD Projekt as it would offer extra revenue.

Jim (The son) Cyberpunk was the best thing to come out of 2020 for me as it gave me something to look forward to when I came home from college. This year with all the stresses of COVID Cyberpunk has let me release

Story mode is challenging but not challenging enough to make you want to give up, it keeps you coming back for more, however I need to remember to sleep sometimes as some levels require a fair bit of time to complete! In conclusion, in my view of Cyberpunk 2077 I think it is awesome, especially my frustrations as I challenge given the time we are all living myself against other online in it has provided me and gamers. I have made a few thousands others with endless online mates as well, due to fun and most importantly a the multiplayer aspect of it social aspect to a somewhat and cross-platform setup it lonely time. has allowed loads of people to connect in such a lonely time.

I think one of my favourite online game modes would have Ian (The Dad) to be gun game, although it’s a Like any parent I am always classic it’s a game you can play worried about the violence with your friends as a team or lone wolf and find out who is the alpha gamer in your group.

The extensive list of guns makes the game long enough to get on a roll but competitive, giving a chance for anybody to come in clutch with some quick kills to steal a win!

All of the surveys that have been done suggesting that an overuse of a shooter game can have a negative effect on a person’s mental health is really worrying, I think it is especially prominent when it comes to young minds which are developing. Young people aren’ always ready for this type of violence and killing other people shouldn’t be celebrated like it is within these sorts of games. I remember when I was younger I used to play games but they weren’t like this, they were arcade games.

Apart from swallowing up your weekly allowance they didn’t have much of a negative affect on us kids. I just worry that an overuse of these sorts of games can lead to something in real life that could in a radical situation lead to more violence within a community. I think that if there was a survey done people who play shooting games like this would have a much lower tolerance to anger than a person who didn’t play games.

I think it is important to have a release strategy from the stress of everyday life at the moment and in this case Cyberpunk has been just that for so many teens. If I had to give it a Dad review I would give it a solid 4 out of 5 stars, although it involves violence in moderation it provides enjoyment and happiness for lots of teens around the world at the moment, and that is something I like. Heck I even tried it the other day, apart from being slightly squeamish I quite enjoyed it, more importanly me and my son spent time together which we haven’t done for a while.
