a note from our chef Thank you for considering Bon Appétit Catering at The Getty Center and The Getty Villa. We’re as passionate about preparing great food and creating memorable events as The Getty is about art presentation, preservation, and education. As longtime partners with The Getty, Bon Appétit Management Company is proud to offer full catering services in addition to our numerous cafés, restaurants, and coffee kiosks located throughout the grounds. We prepare all of our food from scratch and are committed to sourcing local and sustainable ingredients. Our menus are everchanging seasonal celebrations of the bounty of our Southern California foodshed. Much like the respect for art demonstrated at The Getty, our kitchen principles are guided by deep respect for both the finite nature of environmental resources, and the considerable effort expended to grow, harvest, and transport our food. With an eye toward creative preparation and presentation, our chefs prepare delicious food that reflects –and complements – the dramatic architecture, tranquil gardens, and breathtaking views synonymous with many of The Getty’s event venues. In the following pages, we’ve provided a series of thoughtful, innovative, and seasonality-driven menus designed by our Executive Chef. policies and guidelines Bon Appétit Catering Policies and Guidelines Credit card payment conditions: Bon Appetit Management Company will require a completed Credit Card Authorization Form and will charge payment in full 7 days prior to event date. We accept MasterCard, American Express and Visa. Additional charges that may incur at an event will be charged to the credit card on file after the conclusion of the event. - Credit terms will not be accepted for catering services - without exception. Check payment conditions: If check payment is preferred and no credit card is available to leave on file, Bon Appetit will require full payment plus 10%, to cover potential additional charges, 7 days before event date. If no additional charges are incurred, Bon Appetit will issue a refund check. Checks are to be made payable to Bon Appetit and sent to Bon Appetit Catering, c/o the Getty Center, 1200 Getty Center Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90049. - Returned checks will be charged a fee of $25.00, and re-issued payment must fall within the payment guidelines. - Credit terms will not be accepted for catering services - without exception.

Final deadlines: Menus must be finalized no later than 7 business days prior to event date. Final guaranteed guest count must be received within 4 business days of an event. If guest count falls below the guaranteed number, the client will be charged for the guaranteed number. If attendance exceeds the guaranteed number, the client will be charged according to actual attendance. Charges that incur due to guest count increases on the day of an event will be charged to the credit card on file after the conclusion of the event. Late revisions: If revisions to an Event Catering Order are made past the above listed deadlines, an administrative fee of $250.00 will be added to “events” and a $25.00 administrative fee will be added to “small group meetings”. We cannot guarantee changes/revisions after a deadline has passed.

Responsible alcohol service: Bon Appetit reserves the right to ensure that an appropriate amount of food and non-alcoholic beverage is ordered for all events that offer alcoholic beverages. Bon Appetit reserves the right to close the bar immediately and/or terminate the function entirely at the customer’s expense if Bon Appetit witnesses any customer or guest bringing any type alcohol onto the premises, or allowing any minor to consume alcoholic beverage. In addition, the client will be responsible for all fines, loss of business, assessments and liability of any nature as a result of the above.

Menus and pricing: We hope you enjoy the menu selections we have laid out for you in this catering guide, but if you do not see what you are looking for, we are also happy to customize menus especially for your group. Pricing for special menus will be determined based on menu specifics. For seated lunches and dinners, we do offer options that would allow your guests to select their menu choices at the table. Choice of entrée 15 per person, choice of Starter- $10 per person, choice of Dessert- $10 per person. We also, as a courtesy, will prepare a Vegetarian option for 10% of your final guaranteed guest count. If you would like to have Mixed Berries as a dessert alternative for Vegan guests, please tell your catering manager. Charges will apply.

Floral, specialty linens and rentals: We require these services to be coordinated by your Catering Manager and billed directly on your Event Catering Order (ECO).

Additional Fees: A 20% Service Charge will be calculated on the food and beverage subtotal. This charge covers labor for your event. Additional labor charges may incur for special staffing requests not covered within normal service staff standards or for orders under $1,000.00. California sales tax of 9% will be added to the entire catering invoice. Removing unused product: Bon Appetit will not allow any food or beverage to be removed from the property following an event.
