Shortlyafterlosingmysocialmedia,I realizeditwastobringaboutadisruption fromwhatIwascurrentlydoingtoseewhatI wasmeanttocreate ItshowedmethatIwas buildingacompanythatwouldbean incubatorforentrepreneursallovertheworld nomatterwhatphasetheirbusinesseswere in Ilovetobringabusinessideatolifewith someonewhoispivoting.There’ssomuch courageandexcitementwithinthat.Iam extremelypassionateaboutbuildingstable andsupportivesixfigurebusinessesthat providefreedomsinlifeandforfamilies.My soulbeamsattheopportunitytosupport seven+figureentrepreneurstofindultimate fulfillmentandpeacewithintheirlivesand spirit.

IknewIwantedtorunaboutiqueagencythat providedworldclassbranding,design, backendandclientexperiencesupport.I alwayswantedtohavemyownmagazinethat wassoughtafterandreflectedexactlywhatI desiredtoread.Iunderstoodthatmy mentorshipwasn’taboutscarcityor exorbitantpricingbutinsteadabouttrusting thattherightheartbeatsandmyexpertise wouldcollidetomakemagic.Isawclearly thatIwasnevermeantto“fitin”butalways challengedtopioneer Iconnectedwiththe factthatmylifeandbusinessexperienceand perspectiveareararityasaMomoffourand entrepreneurforoversixteenyears.

Tistheseasonofget togethers,gatherings andparties.Hostsare planningaperfectevent fortheirguestsby cleaningtheirhomes,
preparing delicious food and pairing the perfect drink to have with it. Hours are spent making sure everything is looked after so that everyone will feel loved, caredforandwillhaveagreattime.
I am astonished with how many people no longer gift a host when they arrive to their home. There is a dying etiquette of host gifting and I want to revive it. Arriving to someone’s home without a token of appreciation shows a lack of care and thoughtfulness in my opinion. Bringingsomethingforthehostisanact ofgratitudeandawaytogivebackforall theefforttheyhaveputout.
Here are some ideas and suggestions to remind you next time you are invited to aneventorgathering.
Give yourself enough time before the eventtostopandchoosesomethingwith care and consideration. It is not a valid excuse to be late to an event because you had to stop to get something. Manage your time and be mindful of the hostwholikelyhaseverythingtimedand planned.
Pickagiftwiththehostinmind.Thisgift isaboutthehostandmatchingflowersto their taste and decor for example is a way of really making someone feel valued and seen. Remembering the scents they like or their preference of wine are all ways to show someone that youarepayingattentiontothem.
Many wonder how much they should spend on a gift. Remember how much the host has spent in time and money to put on this event for you and the other guests.Itisatimetobegenerous.
I believe you can create a gift that is gorgeous without breaking your bank account. It is the thought that matters. However, if you have the means to get thefullerbouquetorthemoreexpensive wine,doso.

Wrapthegift.Bringingabottleofwinein a paper bag or a handing over a box of chocolates are better than nothing but it takes a minute and makes a big difference to get a gift bag, tissue and a card to show that you wanted to make the effort to show them gratitude. I personally love beautifully wrapped gifts because it can make a simple token look luxurious.

Hand write a card. At the very least, giving a hand written card to a host to share how grateful you are and how much you appreciate them can leave a lasting impact. What words in handwriting can do for a heart is magical.
When you are greeted by the host make sure to say a proper hello first and greet them back with enthusiasm. Handing them the gift as soon as you walk in taints the experience for them and rushes the moment. I also highly recommendthatwhenyoudoofferthem yourgift,thatyoudoitdiscreetly.Thisis between you and the host and avoids making any guests who didn’t bring somethingfeelembarrassed.
The host doesn’t need to open the gift right away or at all during the event. They are in host mode and so allowing them to open and savour your gift when they have the time and space for it, will givemoremeaning.Itisnotetiquettefor themtoopenitinfrontofyou.Thisgoes for wine as well. If you gift a bottle of alcohol, it is for the host not the event. They do not need to open that bottle for you and the other guests. If they choose to that is up to them but it is not expected.
Iimagine that these tips will support the host as much as it will encourage the gueststounderstandtheetiquetteofgift givingforaneventorgathering.Offering to bring something for the meal goes above and beyond the gifting. I firmly believe that when you are invited to someone’shomeorevent,comingempty handed reflects thoughtlessness. Being generous, even overly generous, will never lose the impact or impression it makes upon others. Be the person who sets an example and shows the people around you that you care, love and are grateful for them and their efforts. You will never regret being generous but you mayregretthatyouweren’t.
