Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to provide a photography proposal for the Tea India range of products. !

Based on the brief you supplied, I understand that the range is updating its packaging, giving Tea India a new look and feel. Tea India is positioning itself as a leader in Chai tea. !
!
You want to create a bank of images that show each of the individual tea blends plus an overall group shot. !
!
The photographs will visually communicate the quality, authenticity and accessibility of Chia Tea to the western market. The audience is predominately metropolitan girls aged 20-35 where health and wellbeing is key to them. The images will communicate that Chia Tea is drunk by trend setters, global travellers - people with aspirations of genuine experiences and those keen to be the first in trying new products. !

My aim is to visually connect the lifestyle of your target audience to Tea India, by use of colour and props used within the images. !
!
All images will be supplied as high res files and web ready files. I will take a selection of landscape and portrait shots, plus the option to crop the photos to square files too. !
! The packaging will be in focus and present in all the images.! !

Option 1 Lifestyle Metropolitan with Tea India!
Working with the concept that “Jess’ “ lifestyle is founded on health and wellbeing but she lives in a city, she is busy and on the go. She spends her time out of the home. I would combine props from her lifestyle with Tea India that reflect this message. !
!
I would suggest serving the tea in a travel mug as this suggests city, young and travel. We would insure that there is a clear connection between the colour of the cups and the tea’s blend. !
!
Creating a series of images that use bright colours, suggesting Indian / Asian culture combined with activity. The images would be bright and colourful. We could shot from above so that we can see the blend and colour of the tea. !
! Here are some suggestions for scenes: ! !
Yoga bag, mat with bright coloured yoga top hanging out of bag.. bright coloured travel cup and Tea India pack. !
! Bright coloured samsonite style carry on luggage, travel cup and Tea India pack. ! !
Bright coloured Running trainers, weights and gym kit with Tea India travel cup and pack shot. !
! IPad or mac laptop with bright coloured cover travel cup and pack shot! !
“Parklife" - bench, grass with brightly coloured picnic mat and table wear set up for a group of friends and travel cup.!
! Some of these ideas would be photographed on location others could be studio based.! ! !
Many of these scene lend themselves to including Jess and her friends or just Jess, this might be something you would want to consider.
Photographing from above using bright colourful props to suggest lifestyle eg running or in the office, travel mug upright showing tea and pack shown.

This alternative option is studio based, we would set up a collection of brightly coloured backgrounds and wallpapers, use bright coloured flowers and plant props. The shots would be lit brightly and pack cleanly displayed. !
!
Props to include include Orchids, Tropical leaves, Tropical bird wall papers, blossom, tea leaves and spices.!
! These image have a luxury and premium look and feel. They are simple and uncluttered. ! !
We would have the option to use either colourful fine bone china cups or traditional tall glass chia cups that show off the colour and quality of authentic chia. Shot from above you will clearly see the pack and tea in the cup. !
!
As the target audience is 20 -35 year olds I think that using a cup and saucer would be considered to be inaccessible; it would conjure up images for an older generation, even though I have debated this idea as a cup and saucer is a premium offering. !
!
In order to encourage this audience to try or brand swap we would need to show props that they can easily relate to, items they already own or can recognise. Using traditional chia glass wear would be good or colourful china mugs with or without handles. If we photographed the sets from above I would use the china cups, if we decided to photograph items from a 45 degree or throughout the scene the tall glass wear would show off the drink at its best. !
