Halloween

Halloween, also known as All Hallows' Eve, is a holiday celebrated on October 31st. It has its roots in the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, which marked the end of the harvest and the beginning of winter.

Relationship:

Associated with darkness, ghosts, and fear.

Traditions:

•Costumes: Witches, vampires, ghosts, etc.

• "Trick or treat": Children asking for candy door-todoor.

• Decoration with carved pumpkins.

Symbols:

• Carved pumpkins with eyes, nose, and mouth.

•Bats, ghosts, spiders, etc.

•Colors: Black, orange, purple.

• Visits to cemeteries: Graves are decorated with flowers and candles are lit.

• Traditional food: Pan de muerto, mole, tamales, etc.

A joyful celebration, full of color and music, where those who have passed are remembered.
