This Editor's note is from Tsakani , a slave of Jesus Christ. I greet you in the MIGHTY NAME OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. Beloved, this has to be the verse of my life, well amongst others. I say this because it talks about the vison being for an appointed time. This magazine was birthed, is maintained and shall be sustained through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and THE VISION. We are strong believers in the WORD OF GOD and the PROPHETIC ! Sometimes the articles we feature, are of the visons that people have had which might seem odd at the time e.g (the food shortage article) BUT BE ASSURED they are for an appointed time. Though it may tarry, wait for it; because it will SURELY COME, IT WILL NOT TARRY. Let's be careful not to ignore or reject prophecy, visons and dreams just because it doesn't relate with the current times/movements in the world. Dear friend, GOD does not just speak to excite us or make us feel good, He speaks what is true and possible. whatever GOD said to one person, He is saying to all, under the same condition - Mark.13:37. Therefore if GOD told David that he would recover all he lost, then He must be saying the same to you, if you have suffered any losses in any area of your lifehealth, finances, relationships, opportunities, favours, zeal or drive for some good things- whatever your loss is, as the LORD liveth, you shall recover all without fail in Jesus Christ name.
REMINDER If GOD said it, then it's possible; and whatever suggested to you that you cannot recover all you have lost, cannot be speaking the mind of GOD. The infallible Word of GOD says: ''without fail, you shall recover all.'' If you can believe this statement right now, your recovery will begin immediately. No matter how big or bad the loss, God's Word and verdict is bigger than your loss. The bible says that within 24hrs- from twilight of one day to the evening of the next day, David recovered all he had lost to the Amalekites- 1Samuel.30:17-18. Therefore, because GOD is impartial with His Word, I believe and declare that somebody reading this message is about to experience a 24hr-recovery in Jesus Christ name. Since GOD did it for David, you are next in line for the same testimony. Hallelujah! While the men around David were blaming David for their losses, David was asking GOD for what to do to recover His losses- 1Samuel.30:6, 8. Stop blaming anybody or yourself for any loss you have experienced and start asking GOD for His way out and the way forward. GOD has everything all planned out for your recovery. He made an Amalekite master leave behind his sick Egyptian servant, so that David would meet the young man who then took David and his men to where the looters were hiding- 1Samuel.30:13. The same GOD, the Master planner and strategist, is working in your favour right now and for your total recovery in Jesus Christ name.

What is GOD saying concerning your recovery?- to take a little more rest, check your menu plan, change your area of investment, but if GOD is not telling you anything, just believe that your recovery is settled, without fail and the same GOD who did it for David will do same for you. GOD will not only give you recovery, He will put an end to your losses. Don't just expect a recovery, expect double for all your losses because that's what GOD promises you in Isaiah.61:7 and Zechariah.9:12. Expect double improvement on your health, double recovery in your finances, double in every area where you experienced a loss; so you might as well stop blaming anybody for those losses because something better is coming right now in Jesus Christ name. Like David pursued and overtook": pursue your recovery by a disciplined meditation in God's promise, overtake by frequently confessing God's Word and without fail, you shall recover all Praise GOD! I declare God's release of your RECOVERY from this moment in Jesus Christ name..

We've had the grace of interviewing Coresia Sakhile Temba , 22 years old living in South Africa. Known as the messenger of GOD. Who has had real out of body experiences to heaven an hell and frequently has encounters with the King of kings, The Lord JESUS Christ and His angels. Q. How and when did the encounters start? A. It started in 2015 on the 3rd of April. It all seemed like it was a dream. Until I found myself in a beautiful place with golden streets. I remember I had no fear at all. It literally felt like I was at home. I saw what looked like people but it wasn't people but angels , very huge . Some had wings some didn't. There was beautiful music playing and felt this amazing feeling (presence) and then a hand touched my shoulder, which had a hole. The One that touched me was so bright and tall wearing a super white robe with a purple sash. The Man then asked me if I knew who He was. I thought of the Biblical description of the Lord JESUS and answered in my heart that He was the Lord Jesus and He said yes. From there, He took my hand and started to show me around Heaven. Because of this mandate , the Lord Jesus instructed my father to take me out of school. At that time, I was in grade 8. The Lord Jesus taught me how to speak and write Ancient Hebrew , which has a lot of Jews shocked at this. Q. You weren't born with the name Coresia. Who gave it to you and what does it mean? A. The Lord Jesus gave me the name. The angels would be calling me Coresia. He said the name means : " GOD'S FINAL WARNING ". We are in the END TIMES and are living in the book of REVELATIONS. The Lord Jesus says : People must know this truth. He is no longer coming soon BUT NOW (QUICKLY). People must change their hearts. Whatever evil is in their hearts whether it be : anger, jealousy , pride etc anything that doesn't belong to Him must be removed quickly and NOW! Q. How does one get ride of evil in the heart?

A. Through PRAYER. One should pray without ceasing. Praying without ceasing means to pray deeply in your heart all the times. You can do so by saying thank you Lord Jesus, protect me , lead me, guide me, singing hymns an adoration etc. There is no specific time nor location but in the heart. It has nothing to do with praying loudly to be seen and heard by people. It is a heart matter. Whenever the Holy Spirit touches you to pray , you should do so. The Lord Jesus says: Christians claim to love , know and pray to Him but are not meaning it in their hearts. He says , there must be belief and must repent daily. He doesn't count how long you've been saved but cares and looks at the now, TODAY. That's why we must repent daily and ask Him to help us daily because this journey is not easy. For those who believe in the ''ONE SAVED, ALWAYS SAVED STATEMENT'', it doesn't work nor exist. The Lord sees today and now. You must change now. Yesterday is yesterday and has passed. It doesn't matter how long you've been saved. The minute you receive the Lord Jesus in truth and in Spirit and think you are safe and all will be smooth, it is a lie. The devil will always be behind you, looking for your weak spot to use against you, so he can reel you back to his kingdom! Q. How does the Lord Jesus Christ look like? A. You know the first image that humanity has in mind when it comes to the Lord Jesus, is a white person with long hair. The Lord Jesus is not white , black , Asian nor Indian. I love to say this a lot in churches, He loves us and has died for us. He is so beautiful , the more I see Him the more beautiful He is. He has curly hair that stops by the neck with beautiful glowing eyes and a trimmed brown beard. He skin is olive brown but a bit lighter. I must add, He is very humble and doesn't approach with pride and high shoulders but is so humble. Q. Talking about being humble. It's something foreign to the fallen man. Can we pray for humility ? A. Yes, you can and ask the Lord Jesus to help you. The Lord Jesus said: we must pray daily asking for His help because remember, we are living in a fallen world with many things that can push us to be angry or envious but if you can pray daily for help, you will feel the difference.

The most important thing that ALL people must hear especially when it comes to enemies, which is also in the Bible ( Matthew 5 v 44) , the Lord Jesus said : '' FORGIVE YOUR ENEMIES'' ! I'd hear people say, "I'll never forgive this person ever in my life" THAT IS VERY DANGEROUS. Sometimes when we think about them, see them or hear about them , you'd find anger starting within . The Lord Jesus says: " ANGER AND HATRED WILL NEVER ENTER THE KINGDOM OF GOD". WHAT DOESN'T ENTER THE KINGDOM OF GOD, GOES TO HELL , THERE IS NO IN BETWEEN! PEOPLE MUST MAKE SURE THEY FORGIVE THEIR ENEMIES, WITH THE HELP OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. IT'S ALSO IMPORATANT TO PRAY FOR THEM AND LOVE THEM. If they keep hurting you, the Lord Jesus says , avoid and stay away from them but must continue to love and pray for them. Q. Talking about praying for our enemies, what do we say in the prayer? A. A prayer of mercy. Ask the Lord to help the person to change. Q. For someone reading this article and saying but brother Coresia, I hear what you saying but my life is a challenge, I'm struggling. A. The Lord doesn't look at who you are or what you have or chooses to use the rich and the one working will enter His Kingdom. No, He looks at the heart. The homeless people you see outside on the streets begging for money with torn clothes , the Lord said: '' He looks at the heart''. He also said something very interesting. That when comparing the homeless/beggar and a so called ''Christian'' that is well dressed, going to church every Sunday and monied, He would rather choose the beggar/homeless people. Because the well dressed so called Christians have ALOT OF PRIDE and when they look at the homeless/beggar it's like they don't see them. The Lord Jesus said: '' When He comes back a lot of Christians will stay behind because of their hearts ''. The problem with the hearts of many Christians, they say , GOD knows them , they have been born again for sometime and are pastors.
Q. Please share with us the importance of obedience to the Lord Jesus? A. The Lord wants us to OBEY HIS WORD EVERYTIME. He says, once we don't obey and don't listen , we are going straight into darkness. Remember I said the devil is always roaming around looking for open doors and once he catches a person in disobedience to God, there will be no protection. When GOD speaks , you must make sure you OBEY then and there! Q. The Bible speaks about the narrow and broadway path and only a few find the narrow path. Please elaborate it for us and how can one check which path they're on? A. The broad path is where the Lord Jesus spoke and said most people are choosing the broad path which is leading most people straight to hell. He said the gate of hell is continuing to open wider and wider because people are crowding in like a stampede. When it comes to the narrow path which is the right and straight gate to heaven, it is not easy! Christians that fear God must know that this road they're on is not an easy road. Most people want the easy road which is leading many to hell. The Lord Jesus said to me: '' If you're a Christian and worship GOD and the devil is not challenging you or attacking you and you find that life is good and smooth. You must then know that SOMETHING IS WRONG! Q. How can one know if they're lukewarm? A. When you're lukewarm it's like going to church , pray aloud and call the Name of Jesus but at the same time you are sinning ad worshipping false gods. The God of the Bible is the ONLY GOD AND ONE MASTER. YOU MUST SERVE HIM ALONE. HIS NAME IS JESUS. Q. LET'S TALK ABOUT SELLING THE SOUL? A. Most of the celebrities we see living a flashy life, most have sold their souls. Young people must be very careful when it comes to the people they follow wanting to be like them. The devil will come running, so they sell their souls. He also tried to trick me many times into selling my soul, but I thank God it didn't happen. Once you sell your soul you will never get it back!

Greetings in The Mighty and Powerful Name of Our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST. We Know and Believe that there is MIRACULOUS POWER of HEALING in the BLOOD of JESUS CHRIST. We would like to GIVE G-D ALMIGHTY ALL THANKS, ALL HONOR, ALL GLORY and ALL PRAISE for HE has Completely Healed Us during the Seventh month (July) “Symbolic of Perfection”. My Darling Husband and Myself had contracted the covid-19 virus. We want to Testify and assure all who shall read this, may you know that every promise and every Scripture in G-D’s Word is ALIVE and Forever Accessible.

During the most difficult moments, some of which were extremely challenging. I say the word “Challenging” only because as Children of the MOST HIGH G-D, we were created with the sole purpose to LOVE, PRAISE, WORSHIP, PRAY, COMMUNE, HAVE A RELATIONSHIP and FELLOWSHIP with OUR HEAVENLY DADDY. So just like in the BIBLE during the times of the PROPHETS of Old, we must persevere and press in, forge forward during times of difficulties and persecution. We had endured because we were unable to do what we were solely created to do and those were the most difficult moments because as we would begin to sing, or worship in Spirit and even pray audibly, we experienced shortness of breath to an extreme of having to be silenced due to symptoms from this dreadful virus.
This was something new to us and the fact that people were dying from it wasn't making it easier BUT we held on to the promises of GOD. Knowing that our FATHER , the Lord JESUS Christ was our only hope not medicine. We then decided to partake in the HOLY Communion and a miracle happened as you can see on the photo . We poured the juice and it formed the picture of the continent of Africa. Never was this planned nor expected but it just showed us that AFRICA WILL BE SAVED , THE POWER OF THE HOLY COMMUNION ANS THE LORD JESUS WAS SEEING US AND WITH US (EMMANUEL). Today , I write this fully healed with my family and enjoying the GOODNESS OF GOD. We know that “ONLY JESUS CHRIST” has Healed Us, set us free from this virus and HE has Restored Us. We'd like to thank our Prophet and all our wonderful SuperNatural family and our immediate families. I just want to go on and share about G-D’s Divine Orchestration, that occurred in the Seventh Month. There were exactly seven people in total that G-D led and used to specially bless us so abundantly. We so thankful for their obedience to G-D This is and can ONLY be G-D’s SuperNatural provision in our lives. This scripture is what our lives represent as we continue in CHRIST JESUS “Behold, I make all things new” (Revelation 21:5 KJV). I pray our testimony will encourage you that even though you could be in a valley right now, G-D is with you always and with HIM, you shall reach your mountain top. G-D ALMIGHTY shall never leave you nor forsake you. JESUS CHRIST came to set us free because of that, we have HOPE, we have STRENGTH and most importantly we have ETERNAL LIFE.

I'd firstly like to thank the Holy Spirit for this revelation. Child of GOD, it's time we go back to the matters of the Spirit. As we're born again we have transitioned from the physical into the spiritual but are we living like it? By the grace of God, I will share the secrets of he dimensions that we the Body of Christ have either forsaken or are taking lightly. Have you erected an altar? What altar am I talking about ? I'm talking about the powerful altar of Prayer.
Being one of the weapons the Lord Jesus has given His Children to utilise to gain: strength, power, communion, revelation, authority , dominion and power. This is only by the grace of the HOLY SPIRIT , for we can do NOTHING APART
It's your responsibility to erect a prayer altar in your home and heart not your Pastors or parents or prayer partners BUT YOURS.
FROM HIM.
It's a place where we meet with our Father , where we place all our burdens , questions and supplications before we run to people to advise us. A place where intimacy is birthed and sustained. If you've neglected or haven't erected an altar PLEASE ERECT IT NOW, NOT TOMMOROW .
When we read the HOLY Scriptures in the book of Exodus 24 especially verse 4 , we see how Moses , the man of GOD talks about an altar. But not only that but three other things are included : (1) (2) (3) (4)

Verse 6 "And Moses took half the BLOOD, and put it in basons ;and half of the blood he sprinked on the altar ". Let me start with the altar . I'll come back to the blood. Beloved , we see the four things highlighted that Moses did. He did not just erect an altar but he followed some steps. He woke up early in the morning to erect the altar at a specific place. The HOLY SPIRIT revealed to me that we too as the Bride of Christ are to erect a prayer altar in our homes and are to arise early in the morning daily (by the grace) and go and talk to our Father, the Lord Jesus, through prayer, worship, requests and supplication. A specific place in your house, where you can meet with Him. You can ask the Holy Spirit to help you choose a place. The altar is not to have candles and all these weird things that people are placing and calling God's altar, All you need is a pure heart, readiness to commune with the Lord in prayer and the Bible. This is one of the reasons the church today is weak and unrepented because it has forsaken the Ancient Ways . The Lord Jesus Himself would not just pray but would arise early in the morning to pray . MARK 1:35, HEBREWS 5:7 We cannot afford to be sleeping through the night like babies when the children of darkness are out and about , awake and ready to steal , kill and destroy the children of Light. Neither can you afford to wake up after 6 and then only commit the day to the Lord and command the morning ( Job 38:12) you are playing with fire.
Luke 22;45-46 45 And when he rose up from prayer, and was come to his disciples, he found them sleeping for sorrow, 46 And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. I think I've said a mouthful about the importance of having an altar. Let me talk about the importance of sprinkling the blood. I'm not talking about the blood of bulls , goats and sheep. I'm talking about the precious and POWERFUL BLOOD OF KING JESUS. How often do you use it, well if ever? Not only is it for the remission of our sins ( Thank YOU LORD JESUS) but it's also for our daily living. The Holy Spirit revealed to me that every : House, car , street, community, shop, business, clothes, food, money, restaurants, church etc has an altar erected and it's important as the children of God to plead ( sprinkle the BLOOD of KING JESUS ) before we step into these places , before we eat or drink anything (even the water from your tap), before we fit any clothing , before we exchange monies or anything ( no matter who it's from) . Most of these things are placed or are attached to demonic altars that cannot be seen with the physical eye, which are there to weaken and destroy humanity. Whenever the enemy would look for a door or way to enter this is one of the means he uses to access the children of God. Oh how we've taken the BLOOD OF JESUS FOR GRANTED. Now imagine a child of God who has erected an altar, rises early in the morning , communes with the Lord Jesus through prayer thereafter pleads the BLOOD OF JESUS and on the other hand had their enemy who is doing witchcraft and

IT’S Harvest TIME
The heavenly prophetic clock is ticking. I saw the time sitting at 11:55 in the throne room, I knew that the window for bringing in the final harvest is fast closing,
and Abba is calling us to win the lost at any cost in this season.
A recent prophetic vision In a recent vision, I was with the Lion of Judah. He was running through the harvest fields in the nations. I saw the harvest, golden wheat fields stretching to the skies, they were full and ready for harvesting. He ran through the field and I flew with Him as an eagle (the prophetic). As the remnant army of God joined us, their swords transformed into golden sickles (Isaiah 2:4) as they reaped the harvest, angels co-laboured with us to bundle the wheat into sheaves and lay them on a heap. We worked with acceleration and when the sheaves were done, we were suddenly caught up into heaven and a room prepared for a wedding banquet. God is calling us, with urgency, outside the walls of the church to bring in the final harvest before the trumpet sounds. How much chronos time we have, only God knows, but the kairos time is running out speedily.

In Pentecost 2020 the Lord said to me, tell my church to use the talents I have given them to win the lost or I will judge them according to Matthew 25. We’re carrying talents and mantles, for which the Father expects a return on investment – that return looks like souls that will increase His kingdom. Restitution can be seen as the practice of the law of conscience, formal or informal, whereby the offender rectifies his ways by confessing his crime to those he has offended in apology.

He may be required to return stolen items to the rightful owner. He has to confess lies told or acted to those deceived, or pay back debts owed or relinquish false claims, property, result, certificate, and uncover hidden crime committed against men or society. Restitution is practiced generally even among the heathen. Very often you see someone apologizing to another, “I am sorry.” This is also practiced in the government. Some people think that the New Testament Believers are exempted from restitution. 2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: Comparing scriptures reveal that God requires the past, and commands Believers to follow peace with all men. The damage you caused people in the past or the money you borrowed ten years ago and your lies have caused damages to people. When Jesus went to the house of Zacchaeus, the people started murmuring until Zacchaeus rectified his past by announcing he would give half of his goods to the poor, and if he had cheated anybody he would restore fourfold. And Jesus declared “today is salvation come to this house”. Do your restitution as commanded by God, and where necessary seek counseling from holy minister of God to have peace with God and man.

REVELATION 21
One of my favourite books of the Bible is James. It’s straight to the point, simple and effective. You don’t have to figure out what he is saying or try to read between the lines. One verse I’ve quoted many times is James 1:14 “… but each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desires and enticed.” But is that all there is in scripture or is that statement “in part”? Let’s take a look at Genesis 3. When the serpent went to Eve to bring her one step closer to his side, he asked her “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the garden?” He was simply trying to see how she would respond. The serpent knew that was not what God said. He wanted to see how Eve had interpreted the command given to her or lack thereof by Adam. He was fishing. Eve answers satan with, “We may eat fruit from the trees in the garden, but God did say, ’You must not eat from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die.’” Come again, Eve? God said what? God actually said to Adam, “You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will surely die.” The serpent responds to Eve with the version that is a bit closer to what God said which is, “You will not certainly die, for God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

Now at this point, Eve had been walking with her husband and God for years. Every time she went passed that tree it had no appeal to her. The tree didn’t make her giddy inside or stop her in her tracks. If even in part, she knew that she shouldn’t eat from it and showed no desire. And here’s where the revelation came to me, being deceived allowed her devotion to change. Please don’t go passed this point. Being deceived allowed her desires to change. Our own aspirations can change if we are fooled. We don’t have to have innate sinful ambitions that get us in trouble. We can add cravings we never had before if we allow ourselves to be tricked and entertained by the enemy in various forms. How often are you reading God’s words as to not be finessed by satan? He is well versed in scripture and yet we believe we can combat his fishing with our lack of knowledge and wonder why we live in confusion. This is eye opening for me because even the things I have no appetite or lust for can easily turn into a desire that I crave if I don’t put my eyes on the words of God to navigate this life. I can’t become too proud or feel as if I have one part of my life covered. I have to be on watch and on guard because the one who masquerades as an angel of light can deceive me if I am not alert.

While I believe James 1:14 to be so true, I also see another way the author of lies works. But I am comforted in knowing that Jesus is interceding for me and those around me to keep me covered, strengthened and humbled. Adam and Eve are no different than any of us, so we can’t act like we would’ve done any differently. Their stories do tell us that the serpent, the deceiver is at work to destroy us as he will be destroyed. Don’t let him take you off God’s path. Put on the full armour of God! I don’t know what evil spirits will try to do to get you off track, but remember, the more you cover yourself in the Word of God, prayer and the blood of JESUS, it will be harder to be led astray because the Holy Spirit will bring into remembrance what you’ve read when the time of battle comes, hallelujah! Be sure to gain God’s wisdom today BECAUSE TOMORROW IS TOO LATE TO BE GREAT.

Many women complain over their hair, claiming it is strong and tough. Thank God, some women, who are determined to keep the word of God, have seen good and simple ways to make the hair soft and natural. Seek counsel. Do not fix ornaments or beads into your hair or that of your children. Some women, in the spirit of worldliness, turn simple thread into attachment. This is an abuse to their righteousness. Temptations abound all around us. We're tempted at every turn-- some more than others, some in different areas than others-- but we're all tempted. The sin is not in the temptation. It is in the yielding to the temptation. This scripture reminds us that we are not supposed to use our bodies as instruments of sin. We are not supposed to use our bodies as instruments of unrighteousness. We are supposed to present ourselves to God and everything about ourselves--our entire bodies, our entire beings, we're supposed to submit to God as instruments of righteousness.
We're supposed to allow our bodies to be used in the service of God, to give Him our heart, our hands, our feet, our eyes, our ears. We're called to use every member of our body. We can't worship God with the heart and be unrighteous with our mouths when we're saying things about people or causing strife. We can't l worship God in our souls and use our hands to cause harm to people. We have to worship God with all of our hearts with all of our minds and use our bodies in a righteous way in service to a holy God. To do anything else goes against the will of God.
Prayer Father, I ask You to help me to serve You with everything I am--with my entire being, with my entire body--in righteousness. Don't let any part of my body participate in unrighteous acts. Give me the strength and the courage and the wisdom to follow Your will and do your bidding. Amen.

THE CAUSE OF PERSECUTION
aving considered the root of persecution, we will now consider its cause. It is understandable that the unrighteous would reject a righteous God, that the proud would reject salvation by way of the Cross, and that the rebellious and insubordinate would reject God’s rule. But why should those who want no such God be at enmity with those who do? Why does the world even care about a tiny remnant of individuals scattered throughout the globe who identify themselves with a poor Jewish carpenter who lived 2,000 years ago? Should not the devotees of a “crucified god” be pitied rather than persecuted? How is it that Christians, their Savior, their book, and their message incite such enmity? There are two primary reasons. The first reason for the world’s hostility toward Christianity is powerfully set forth by Christ Himself in John 3:19-20: “This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.” Fallen humanity hates the light of God’s righteousness and any of God’s people who might reflect or proclaim that light. In the book of Romans, Paul describes the -

unregenerate of this world as “haters” (1:30) and “enemies” (5:10) of God who are “hostile to God” (8:7) and “full of murder” (1:29). Thus, they hate any revelation of God’s righteousness, whether it be through His Scriptures or through the testimony of God’s people. The revelation that they cannot explain away, they will ignore; what they cannot ignore, they will distort and malign; and what they cannot malign, they will seek to eradicate. This is truest when the gospel is preached most clearly and when God’s people live most purely. The attitude of the wicked in Isaiah’s day continues until today: “Get out of the way, turn aside from the path, let us hear no more about the Holy One of Israel” (Isaiah 30:11). The world’s hostile response to the righteousness of God and His people is powerfully illustrated in Cain’s murder of his brother Abel (Genesis 4:3-8). According to John, Cain “was of the evil one and slew his brother” because Cain’s deeds “were evil” and Abel’s deeds “were righteous.” The apostle then concludes that we should “not be surprised” if the world hates us (I John 3:12-13).

It is not that Cain by murdering his brother became the child of the devil; but, being a child of the devil, his actions were evil and culminated in the murder of his brother. The reason given for the murder is that his brother’s acts were righteous. Righteousness draws hatred from the devil and hatred from the children of the devil. Darkness cannot tolerate light; immorality, morality; hatred, love; or greed, sacrifice. All the words of darkness are shown to be what they really are by the light, hatred that can lead to such brutality as Cain’s slaughter of Abel''. The second reason for the world’s hostility toward Christianity is that the world is a pawn of Satan. We must never forget that the devil is “the ruler of this world” (John 12:31; 14:30; 16:11) and that “the whole world lies in the power of the evil one” (I John 5:19).

He is “the spirit that is now working in the sons of disobedience” so that they walk according to his will (Ephesians 2:2) and are “held captive by him to do his will” (II Timothy 2:26). Satan is the original murderer (John 8:44) and the instigator of murder (I John 3:12). He “prowls around like a roaring lion seeking someone to devour” (I Peter 5:8). He desires only to steal and kill and destroy (John 10:10). He hates Christ and His people with an unbridled and unmitigated passion. He seeks to lead the weak into sin and the strong to the gallows. He is more than capable of stirring up the entire world to “make war with the saints to overcome them” (Revelation 13:7-10). TO BE CONTINUED.....

He restores my soul. —Psalm 23:1–3 Beloved, we need to take time to just be alone with God like David did. The Lord told us through Isaiah, “In repentance and rest you will be saved, in quietness and trust is your strength” (Isa. 30:15). At times we need to break away from all the busyness of life and simply go into nature. God uses those times to impart Himself to us and restore our souls. I know it’s not always easy to get away from all the things that we’re used to doing. We’re in such a habit of being busy that it’s hard to stop that cycle, sit before the Lord, and receive from Him. But there’s such a blessing in taking the time to just be quiet and rest in the Lord. So I want to encourage you today to make time in your life to simply sit with the Lord in nature. Look for a quiet place where you can just sit among the trees and listen to the birds. If you live in a cold climate, perhaps you can just look out at the snow blanketing the ground.

If you live near the beach, perhaps you can sit and listen to the waves crashing against the shore or take walks on a path through the woods. Just being in the stillness of God’s creation reprograms and recalibrates our system to function in such a way that we can receive more of God’s presence into our souls. There have been times in my life when I have felt so tired spiritually that I’d go out into nature and just lie on the ground and ask the Father to restore my soul. Maybe you can relate. Perhaps you feel like I do at times— exhausted. And it’s not even just a physical exhaustion; it’s a spiritual and emotional exhaustion. But the Lord can restore your soul. If you can find a way to be outside, sit alone with God, and pray to Him from your heart, He will impart renewal and healing by His Spirit. It may not happen all at once, but He is faithful. As you reach out to Him, He will draw near to you and breathe restoration into your soul.
