A multi-purpose complex with five floors of housing and retail spaces (where retail spaces located on ground floor and housing located on upper floors). It was designed to serve the needs of the community, mixing sustainable solutions to innovative and creative concepts. All form-making strategies were taken following specific site context concerns, as noise quality, prominent views, sustainibility, and socialization.
It was envisioned as an extension of the neighborhood, as a focal point of the community, where not only residents would take advantage of it, but as for the general public - offering accessible green spaces and commercial amenities that foster interaction, inclusivity, and a sense of place.

Project started with a simple box that was placed in the chosen site.
Section AA’

Edifice was then divided into two so there would be an interesting corridor view, this way it would not block other buildings’ view of the surroundings,

Cuts were made in the mass so that it would shape its form following two main focal points: Frankford Ave corner view and Center City View.
Finally, there was an interest in having possible outside spaces besides the existing courtyard, to celebrate sustainability and socialization, so the building was pushed down in a couple of spots to introduce green spaces.

Units were modular so it would be easier for design purposes and matching specific budget constraints.

Moran Pier project is a small scale commercial project designed in the south port of Philadelphia.
The three-floor building has programs such as coffee bar, shop, workstation, conference, training room, amongst other service rooms. It was designed in the midst of an existing comercial area. The cantileavered third floor windows give views of the entire port.
The park located in front of the building brings down the pace of the industrial style architecture, decelerating its users.

Our team was challenged with master planning a new Hypersonic Capabilities Center for Northrop Grumman’s Elkton Campus. The project is arguably one of the biggest modernization projects of the site’s 70+ year history. The center consists of a 60,000 sf advanced manufacturing facility and a three story, 78,000 sf research, design, and engineering office.
The project’s main goal is to provide Northrop Grumman with a secure modern facility that will enable them to support national security with full lifecycle production for defense weapons.
