Poppy installation in Amersham

Throughout the Autumn Term, it was wonderful to collaborate with local girls’ school, Heatherton School, to participate in various joint activities.

In Art, our Year 4 boys joined Year 4 girls at Heatherton to create bespoke poppies for Remembrance Day. The boys and girls worked in pairs at each of the Art Studios to mould poppies out of clay, carefully hand-painting them in red and securing them to stalks.

They were nicely displayed in Amersham town centre in between the two schools for passers-by to enjoy.

OUTSTANDING ORCHESTRA

We have been thrilled to welcome Heatherton girls each Monday into our school to join our Beacon Orchestra. The orchestra have come a long way since initially working together and are sounding excellent.

We were proud to see them perform their showcase during the Instrumental Concert which took place in November.
