Our Year 2 boys were thrilled to visit the big boys’ Science labs where Mr Tenison put on quite the show introducing them to Science.
Year 3 started off the term with a pop as they headed out to The Quad to experiment with bubbles. Year 4 completed their topic on electricity, finishing off with a very exciting demonstration with the Van Der Graff generator, which made their hair stand on end!
Year 5 explored the gravitational pull of the Earth. They made paper aeroplanes, differing in size, and measured how quickly they could make it back to Earth.
Year 6 headed over to Willsfield to measure the speed of sound. Year 7 compared the properties of metals and non-metals.
Year 8 studied forces and were tasked with using springs to prove Hooke’s Law.
An excellent term in Science all round!
