Rose Queen and Court Deliver Some Holiday Cheer to Those Less Fortunate
The community is invited to participate in the City of Rosemead's 4th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on December 1, at 6:00 p.m. at Civic Center Plaza, 8838 E. Valley Boulevard. Bring your singing voices and join the fun! Local school children will lead the crowd in traditional Christmas Carols. Refreshments will be provided. El Monte to Celebrate 40th Annual Holiday House The signs are all around – Christmas cheer, nippy air, chestnuts roasting, and shoppers creating their holiday list. However, Christmas does not officially kick off in El Monte until its annual and lively Holiday House festivities have begun. Coming straight from the North Pole to the El Monte Community Center will be “Jolly St. Nick” and the “Snow Queen” to kick off the countdown to Christmas with the El Monte Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department’s 40th Annual Holiday House. a regular food lifeline to people facing hunger. Because the Center’s clients struggle for the most basic food and shelter, a special Thanksgiving meal would otherwise be out of reach. Like all the Center’s programs, this annual distribution, is a community effort,
