Even with the delays officials urge drivers to avoid taking side and residential streets, especially certain commercial trucks. July’s closure saw Duarte offi cials lamenting large, 18-wheelers exiting the 605 and heading west on Huntington Drive, causing delays and disruptions to the area. Trucks be warned Caltrans hopes to prevent trucks from spilling onto the historic Route 66 thoroughfare by using LED signs prompting drivers to instead exit at Lower Azusa Road or Live Oak Road. California Highway Patrol pulled over four trucks for illegally taking Huntington Drive during the last set of closures, but are hoping to avoid causing further congestion by stopping truck drivers during high traffic hours, according to Duarte City Council member Sam Kang.

Drivers are gearing up for another 126-hour closure, this time to the eastbound side of the 1-210 at the I-605 and Irwindale Ave. You can reach Cervanté Pope cpope@heymediagroup.com

A s if motorists haven’t had enough to deal with lately— the hot temperatures, long commutes, high gas prices—they yet again will be facing a 5-day freeway closure to the eastbound I-210, starting at 10 p.m. Wednesday night. While the westbound closure, which lasted the same duration of time last month, caused a relative stir, this one is expected to be a bit milder, according to Caltrans spokes person Eric Menjivar. “We expect people to hit some congestion but during off-peak hours it should be OK,” he says, still warning of bottlenecked delays as the freeway will be reduced to 50% of its usual capacity to fit lanes going in both directions.

“Mornings will likely be heavily congested traveling in westbound directions. And afternoon traffic will be heavily congested in the east bound direction when people will be traveling back home,” says Menjivar. The corridor, spanning only 1.3 miles of the freeway, will be fully closed Wednesday night, partially reopening around 4 a.m. Thursday to accommodate morning traffic, Caltrans District 7 said in a tweet. Avoid side streets Since the closures are happen ing along the same 210 stretch near the I-605 on-ramp and Irwindale Avenue, Irwindale, Duarte, Monrovia, Pasadena and Arcadia will likely have the most pronounced congestion during peak weekday hours.

Because of this, Caltrans is taking further steps by fully prohibiting trucks over seven tons from using Huntington Drive in Duarte at all by subjecting violators to traffic fines. “I hope it is going to be better (than last time),” Kang said. “My staff has been talking to Caltrans and working with the Sheriff’s Depart ment. They are more receptive.” Why it’s happening The continuing construction is in an effort to finish replacing hinges that help keep the San Gabriel River Bridge in place, while also resetting concrete, installing steel rebar and working on the concrete medians on that side. Storm drains along this part of the bridge as well. Arcadia Councilman Sho Tay said the only option locals have is to wait the construction out, staying positive on the worth the repairs will have for drivers over. “We don’t have a choice. I want drivers not to get frustrated because road rage happens when people are frustrated. I’d rather people stay safe,” he says. Ultimately, the same message as last month is echoed by Caltrans and local officials—take alternate routes, public transit or, if possible, work from"Justhome.avoid the area and avoid yourself a headache," Menjivar says.

The restaurant business is notoriously tough and fickle. There are over 2,000 restaurants offering various cuisines in the Western San Gabriel Valley and staying in business — much less standing out among the competition — could be a daunting task. But Tony He rises to the challenge, “Independent innovation, leading, and being at the forefront of this industry are utmost. The customer agrees and we succeed by the customer approbate. The secret to having diners coming back regularly and keeping their loyalty are fair price, new products, customer happiness, and customer satisfaction after dining.”“The goal for our Pasadena location is to create a memorable dining experience, serving modern dim sum to a new genera tion of diners,” says Tony He. “Guests are welcome to sit solo at the bar, order a cocktail and try a special house dim sum platter, or celebrate with a group of friends or family in our private dining room down stairs.”Currently, there are two Chef Tony restau rants in this area and Tony He declares, “People love them; however, we keep improving based on customers’ needs and tastes. I plan to open more high-end restaurants like Chef Tony Dim Sum.” With an array of meticulously prepared and beautifully plated dishes, diners are guaranteed to have an amazing dim sum experience! Chef Tony may have upset the apple — in this case rolling — cart, but to a spectacular outcome.

C hinese food is one of the most popular cuisines the world over. Almost everyone has eaten fried rice or chow mein with orange chicken or sweet and sour pork. It’s not very often, though, that people think of dim sum when they hear of Chinese food. And it’s a pity because anyone who has sampled these bite-size delicacies would most probably say they’re addictively scrump tious.A Wikipedia entry informs that the origins of dim sum date back to the 10 th century when commer cial travel increased in the city of Guangzhou (formerly Canton). These travelers went to teahouses that served two pieces of delicately made food items – sweet or savory – to go with their tea; the second is dim sum, the term used for the small food portions. Teahouse owners later added a variety of snack pieces to their dim sum offering.Itwas during the latter part of the 19th century that this practice of having tea with dim sum evolved into what’s called yum cha, or brunch. Originally based on locally available food, chefs introduced influ ences from regions outside the Canton province and the dim sum culture flour ished.Abig part of the experi ence is seeing and smelling the food. Traditionally, dim sum dining involves servers pushing rolling carts of small steaming baskets and tempting diners with the aroma of the delicious offerings. And it has been done that way for centu ries – until Chef Tony. He set the concept on its (tree) ear.In February 2020, Tony He introduced upscale dim sum when he opened Chef Tony Dim Sum in Old Town Pasadena. Moreover, he eliminated the mainstay of all dim sum restaurants. Diners will not see rolling carts; instead dishes are served á la carte (which, in the past, was only done for take-out orders) and include ingredients such as freshly shaved black truffles and gold leaf touches.Therestaurant had to close shortly after that, however, because every thing went on lockdown when the coronavirus reached American shores. But last year, Chef Tony Dim Sum Arcadia opened on Baldwin Avenue; and a month ago, Chef Tony Dim Sum Pasadena finally reopened. He began his cooking career at the age of 15, apprenticing with some of the greatest chefs in Guangdong Province, China (formerly known as Canton Province). He later moved to Hong Kong where he further developed his culinary techniques, including training under ‘Abalone King,’ Yeung Koon-yat.In1992, Tony He opened his first Sea Harbour Seafood Restau rant in Zhongshan City in southern China. When he immigrated to Canada, he launched Sea Harbour Seafood Restaurant in Richmond, BC. It was such a huge success that he expanded his business southward, opening Sea Harbor Seafood Restaurant in Rosemead.Giventhat he owns several restaurants, anyone will naturally assume that he comes from a family of restaurateurs. It’s surpris ing, therefore, to find out that isn’t the case. Answer ing our questions via email, he discloses cryptically, “No, I learned it myself, since I had no choice at that“Itime.”immigrated to Canada in 1996, and started my business in 1998,” Tony He states. “The first restaurant I opened is a traditional Cantonese restaurant. The taste of the dishes made by the restau rant is very authentic, so it is loved by everyone. It was wildly successful and led to the opening of another one in the L.A. area. While they pretty much have the same menu, I make some adjustments to the offer ings based on diners’ taste as well. I am always about innovation — I create more products based on custom ers’ feedback and sugges tions.”With the thought of delivering high-end fusion dining experience to a diverse clientele, Tony He founded Yi Dong Seafood Restaurant, also known as Chef Tony Seafood Restau rant, in British Columbia in 2013. In 2016, Tony He and George Pang established the first Chef Tony Dim Sum, a unique dim sum fast food operation in the food court of Metrotown. It was their first step in building an international fast-food chain that specializes in bite-size Chinese dim sum. British Columbia is a test market for Tony He – it’s where he introduces his culinary concepts. Some dishes find their way onto the menu of his various restaurants.Heexplains, “I inte grated some diner favorites at Sea Harbour Seafood Restaurant, such as squid ink shrimp dumpling with gold leaf, French baked BBQ pork bun, black truffle chicken with cilantro and onion, to Chef Tony Dim Sum. If I can offer that everyone agrees with, from children to the elderly, then that’s my motivation.”

House Speaker Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan is a salute to a thriving democracy, not a window of opportunity to destabilize the Indo-Pacific region

We all know of course about the Black Death which killed one-third of Europe’s population in the 14th century — and also about the Spanish flu, which left 30 million dead in the early 20th century. But most likely we never expected to witness a global epidemic that so far has killed 15 million of our fellow pilgrims in life’s journey. Thus, we owe our everlast ing gratitude to the doctors, nurses and other medical professionals who fought that invisible foe from the front lines. And also to all the workers in the service industries who risked their lives while continuing to serve us, their customers, during COVID-19’s invasion of our country.DavidMonroviaQuintero I t’s that time of year again. Twice a year, I tell y’all to drive safely; at the begin ning of the school year and at the end, so here we are. I really shouldn’t have to do this, but apparently, some are slow to catch on. Let me say this really loudly for the folks in the back: There is no place you need to be in such a hurry that you hurt someone. Especially a child! In Monrovia, we have a lot of kids that walk to and from school. Which is all fine and dandy until one of them has to cross the street. I’m not convinced that the intersec tions WITH crossing guards are safe, but they definitely beat a blank. However, not every school has a crossing guard. Not every intersection near a school has a crossing guard. What they DO have are parents that are running late and speeding down the street to drop off their children, safe and secure, in front of the school. Maybe if EVERY parent made their kids walk, people would drive a bit slower. At least there would just be fewer cars around to endanger the kids. As most of you know, Monrovia is full of renters and street parkers. Those parked cars create so many blind spots, it’s ridiculous. You can’t see these kids until they pop out in the middle of the crosswalk. I’m sure if I polled every parent at every school, they’d all have horror stories to share. I live near Clifton, and I see near misses and hear screeching brakes daily. Slow down!! It’s that simple. Now, for the double parkers and the blockers of the traffic lane — you and your child are no more special than the car behind you that can’t get where they want to go because you’re holding them up. If there is no drop-off room, do what you’re supposed to do: find another spot or go around the block. If your kid is at MHS or middle school, they can walk a block. Do not double park. Do not block traffic. It’s just rude. Also, don’t let your kids out on the driver’s side. If you keep your kid's backpack in the trunk, get out and get it for them. Whenever I see a child retrieving their things from the trunk with running cars behind them, it gives me chills. So dangerous and so not worth the convenience. Let’s be real, the drop-off line is go-time. Your child should be ready to jump out and land once you come to a stop. This is not the time for kisses and the rearranging of bangs. For you parents with middle and high schoolers: get off your phone! Your kids will be driving soon. If you haven’t noticed yet, kids learn a lot from our actions. If you want your child to not text and drive or talk and drive or google and drive… be the example you want them to see. Plus, it will feel so much better when they can’t throw your behavior in your face. For all of you little darlings out there: get off your phone while you’re walking! You need to be paying attention to cars. You need to be making eye contact with the drivers as you cross. You need to be checking out the car behind the stopped car to make sure they aren’t about to rear-end the car in front of them, which would then hit you. If you insist on wearing your earbuds, just wear one. You need to be able to hear the sounds around you. This isn’t just so you don’t get hit by a car, it’s so no one snatches you up. If you don’t think it could happen to you, then I’m even more worried about you. I see so many of you walking home alone at night. You are not invincible. Walk in pairs. Be aware of your surroundings, particularly those creepy vans. Be aware of cars driving by slowly. Be aware, don’t be distracted and don’t be reckless. Stay out of the alleys and the dark corners. Your safety is so important.Parents, get it together. Let’s keep all the kids safe. If your kids are older, come up with some safe plans for navigating Monrovia after dark. Please and thank you.

Send your letters to tmiller@beaconmedianews.com - Please be brief.

F ollowing the recent visit to Taiwan by U.S. Speaker of the House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi, the People’s Republic of China (PRC) began an aggressive and hostile campaign of intimi dation against Taiwan. The PRC has no legitimacy to use House Speaker Pelosi’s visit as a pretext to escalate any situation and to attempt to unilaterally change the status quo through its livefire drills and economic coercion. There is simply no justification for the PRC’s aggressive military activity in the Taiwan Strait and the Indo-Pacific region. Taiwan condemns recent threat ening actions by the PRC, as the PRC’s escalatory response gravely affects international peace and security.House Speaker Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan is not unprecedented and is in line with the long-standing practices derived from the U.S.’ unwavering commit ment to the 1979 Taiwan Relations Act. Moreover, this significant visit not only represents the U.S.’ rock-solid support for Taiwan but also reaffirms and honors America’s support for Taiwan’s vibrant democracy. Taiwan has the right to cement relationships with other democratic countries. The PRC cannot dictate to a free and democratic country whom to associate with. As the world denounc es the PRC’s irrational behavior, Taiwan will work with like-minded countries to uphold the status quo and defend our commonly held values of democracy and respect for human rights. To prevent an unwanted cross-strait military conflict that would quickly tarnish the global economy, Taiwan will also continue to sustain strong deterrence and use selfrestraint. These large-scale, livefire military exercises and missile launches are an attempt to demoralize the 23 million peace-loving people of Taiwan and send a message to the interna tional community to not interfere in the situation. We call on the internation al community to not despair and continue standing in solidarity with Taiwan to maintain peace and stabil ity across the Taiwan Strait and the Indo-Pacific region.

A man accused of opening fire on Arcadia police officers responding to a domestic-disturbance call at his family's home — striking one officer in the face and sparking an hours-long standoff — remained jailed without bail and is expected to be arraigned in midSeptember on five counts of attempted murder of a peace officer. Nurhan Venk, 47, was also charged Friday with another attempted murder count for allegedly shooting his 73-year-old mother in the chest during the Wednesday night rampage, according to the District Attorney's Office. Another police officer suffered a minor ankle injury during the fray. Zoo Yang, the 83-yearold neighbor across the street, was struck in the face by a stray bullet that passed through a window of his home. Yang's son told reporters the man was watching his 4-month-old grandson when he was shot, but the boy was not injured. Authorities said Venk holed up inside the home for roughly five hours. Brett Bourgeous said the officer has been with the department for about six months, but has about three years of overall law enforcement experience, having previously served with the sheriff's depart ment.Neighbors told report ers at the scene that the family at the center of Wednesday's violence has repeatedly been involved in fights and arguments. The shooting marked the second time this week a police officer came under fire. On Monday, off-duty Monterey Park Police Department Officer Gardiel Solorio was fatally shot during an apparent robbery attempt outside a gym in Downey. Solorio was off duty at the time, and there's no indication the shooting was related to his job as a police officer. Los Angeles on pace to set another annual record for hate crimes

Hate crimes are defined by the LAPD as any instance in which a victim is targeted based on race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation or disability. A total of 596 hate crimes were reported to the LAPD last year, the highest number ever in a single year, according to Crosstown. Current figures for this year put the city on pace to reach nearly 700. Brian Levin, director of the Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism at Cal State San Bernardino, told Crosstown the numbers could get higher in the second half of the year, thanks in part to the November election, which could ramp up divisive rhetoric.

hen is the best time to talk to your kids about money? For most parents, the answer is simple: as soon as you can. Talking to your kids about money can help them learn how to be financially responsible, self-supporting adults. To get the discussion flowing, consider using these conversation starters depend ing on your child's age. Begin with basics for your preschooler. Look for oppor tunities to teach values that will help your child develop positive financial attitudes and behaviors later in life. For example, the concept of sharing with others is some thing most young children can grasp. Talking about what you’re thankful for and involv ing kids in philanthropy can help instill gratitude. After all, children primarily learn about money from modeling their parents’ behavior. Explain financial building blocks to your elementary school student. As your child progresses through school, start introducing the differ ence between needs and wants. Present the concepts of cost and quality to teach your child how to discern value. Give your child the chance to make some simple financial decisions that involve delayed gratification, such as setting aside a small allowance to buy a toy. Teaching children to strengthen their willpower and giving them age-appropriate autonomy is a foundation that can help them flourish finan cially in Understandadulthood. that your middle schooler may be watching more than listening. Kids tend to be peer-oriented in the preteen years and may be less receptive to parental advice. Keep talks short, but don’t abandon the mission. Remember that your actions speak volumes about your values. For example, if your child hears you continu ally talking about a new car purchase or sees you frequent ly shopping for nonessential items, he or she may pick up similar attitudes and behav iors. Consider involving your child in donations or chari table work you are passionate about or encourage him or her to support a cause of their own. Encourage your high school student to think about the future. Now is the time to discuss college costs and encourage saving for college expenses. Talk to your child about what you plan to contribute and what portion you expect them to pay. Discuss whether student loans will play a role and their potential impact down the road. Conversations about college and majors can include frank discussions about the job market and future income potential. Discuss day-to-day financial responsibilities as well, such as how to maintain a checking account and debit card and how to protect accounts from fraud. Help your college student prepare for independence. Counsel your child about the importance of living within their means and establishing and maintaining a good credit record. Explain how to use a credit card appropriately (and how to avoid fees and other credit troubles). As graduation nears, discuss your expecta tions for your child’s transi tion from student to working adult. Offer yourself as a resource for guidance on how to seek fulfilling work, negoti ate a good salary, and navigate the world of employee benefits. Inspire your college graduate to embrace adult hood. Once your child becomes financially independent, be thoughtful about how you approach money topics. Let your newly employed college graduate know you are willing to offer support and guidance yet steer clear of making deci sions for him or her. Allow your child space to decide their financial goals. Continue sharing advice based on your experience, such as the impor tance of saving for retirement early, having appropriate insurance, or building a financial safety net. Encour age your child to establish a relationship with a financial advisor who can provide an objective perspective and tools to create a financial plan unique to their goals. It’s worth it. If you want to help your child develop financial competence and independence, start the conversation early and keep it going. Sharing your financial values can enrich your rela tionship and instill wisdom that will serve them well into the future.

"Generally, if you take the last 10 years of FBI data and you rank by quarter, the second half of the year is the one that has more hate crimes," Levin told Crosstown. Crosstown also noted that, according to the U.S. Bureau of Justice Statistics, less than half of all hate crimes are actually reported to police, with some victims wary of interacting with law enforcement.

The number is more than double the amount reported in the first six months of 2020, according to Crosstown, which cited LAPDHaterecords.crimes in the first six months of the year most often targeted the Black community, with 91 reports, according to Crosstown. The next closest target was the Hispanic/Latino community, with 43 such reports, and the Jewish community at 39. According to the data, May saw the most hate crimes reported to the LAPD at 78, and 71 more in June -- the two highest monthly totals ever recorded in Los Angeles. Crosstown noted that in the three years prior to the pandemic, an average of 20 to 40 hate crimes were reported monthly.

ENVIRONMENTAL A Program EIR was certified for the original DOCUMENTATION: project. An Addendum to the EIR was pre pared for the approved revisions to Parcel 2. The addendum determined, in addition to all of the supporting evidence, that potential adverse environmental impacts from imple mentation of the revisions to Parcel 2 will not be significantly greater than that identified in original EIR. In fact, the potential adverse en vironmental impact should be less for air qual ity, hydrology and water quality, noise, public services, traffic and utilities. To re-instate the previously approved project, an updated Ad dendum to the EIR was prepared which found that there will be no new significant impacts that result from implementing the project, based on implementing the previous mitiga tion commitments in the EIR. Pursuant to CEQA Section 15164, the certi fied Specific Plan EIR, as updated with the updated Addendum, can be relied upon for documentation of the effects of Parcel 2 on the environment. Because the changes in the product do not exceed the thresholds outlined in Sections 15162 and 15164 of the State CEQA Guidelines, no further analysis of the environmental impacts of the proposed project is required in a Supplemental/Subsequent EIR or MND.

As a result of emerging concerns related to the use of military-style equipment by local law enforce ment, and the requisite oversight and accountability, Assembly Bill 481 was passed. It mandates certain requirements for the acquisi tion, use, and funding of military-style equipment.

Ordinance No. 684 was approved for introduction and first reading at the City Council Regular Meeting of August 16, 2022, by the fol lowing vote: AYES: Councilmember- Menchaca, Rivera, Wu, Harrington, Ding NOES, ABSENT, ABSTAIN: Councilmember- None

REQUEST: The Applicant is requesting to re-instate a previously approved entitlement project to construct a five-story apartment complex con sisting of 212 dwelling units and 303 parking Thespaces.original project -- the “El Monte Transit Village Specific Plan” -- was first approved by the City Council in 2007, for 1,850 dwelling units and 600,000 SF of commercial space. That project eventually became the smaller “Gateway Project”, which was most recently approved by the Planning Commission in De cember 2013. The project called to construct a total of 485 dwelling units and 705 parking spaces on multiple parcels. Parcel 2 of the project was to include a total of 145 dwell ing units and 148 parking spaces. However, in 2016, the Planning Commission approved another revision that increased the number of dwelling units to 212 and parking to 303 spac es while revising the building’s architectural design.

The protagonist of "Stray." | Image courtesy of Annapurna Interactive "If you’re a cat lover, know that 'Stray' is a love letter to your furry friends that hasn’t existed until now."

‘Stray’ video game review: The cat’s meow

ENTERTAINMENT

The underground city you’ll be exploring in Stray. | Image courtesy of Annapurna Interactive

I n most video games, you’re playing as some sort of powerful char acter; a warrior that rises against impossible odds. But within “Stray,” publisher Annapurna Inter active’s newest release, you’re playing the role of a tiny, four-legged ball of charm exploring a stagnant, ruinous world. There’s danger around every corner, but plenty of friendly faces to help you along the way as you unravel a mystery that can shake the BlueTwelveworld.

Studios have crafted a believable, engaging world for you to explore through the eyes of a humble stray cat. Even though it stumbles at certain points, “Stray” is a genuinely entertaining and charming game. A gorgeous, neonstreaked future “Stray’s” world is gorgeous. The graphical fidelity on display is impres sive, displaying incredible work by BlueTwelve’s tech team. Among the dozens of interpretations of cyber punk futures, “Stray” is able to take inspiration from the most well-known and make it unique. The under ground city where the game takes place is well realized, brimming with color and personality.Neonsigns are plastered everywhere, painting garish scenery that is reminiscent of our own massive cities. The slums you explore have less neon but are still bustling with robot inhab itants that hang out in bars, clean the streets, sell clothes, and even meditate. They’re all lovingly animated and designed, ensuring that no robot citizen looks the same. The protagonist itself is the most lovingly designed cat to ever exist in a video game. From the look to the animations, “Stray’s” furry hero is what any future game featuring a cat should aspire to be. Inspired by some cats that belonged to members of the team, the leading feline of Stray moves and looks the part for the entire game. Tail to remember At the beginning of the game, your cat (player char acter) is enjoying a relaxing day with its fellow feline friends.Asudden mishap sends the cat plummeting from the sunny surface world into the secluded underground city. Soon after meeting B-12—the robot companion that serves as the player’s inventory space—the two are pulled into a gripping tale.Throughout “Stray’s” runtime, the game muses on humanity’s legacy and what preserving that entails. While not the most original theme in a cyberpunk story, it is presented well and benefits from the unique setting where it takes place. Unfortunately, the story might not be as compelling if you can’t suspend your disbelief and accept that a cat would help an entire civilization with its issues. The cat never talks, so all of the dialogue in the game is conveyed to the player by B-12.This will probably be the most contentious aspect of the game’s story. The cat sometimes reacts as if it could comprehend what the other characters are talking about. If you can’t accept the absurdity of the story’s protagonist, then you won’t be able to invest yourself as easily. Softer than a ball of yarn Challenge is not Stray’s forte, which will turn away anyone who looks for diffi culty in their video games. You’re not Mario stomping on enemies and jumping on platforms; you’re a cat that can leap across pipes and rooftops by simply holding down one button. Your feline hero can’t fall down chasms or off of rooftops, so crossing dizzying heights isn’t dangerous. Any difficulty in the game comes from the many puzzles you need to solve and the few enemy encoun ters that are in the game. The puzzles hearken back to the days of point-and-click adventure games, where you need to find objects or keys to proceed. Maybe you need to find an outfit for a character so that they can sneak through a restricted area. Other times you’ll need to use your qualities as a cat to distract someone or to create a path to proceed. That might mean knocking over an object or meowing at the right time to grab someone’s attention. Feel like a clever feline “Stray” does mix up its formula by including explorable environments where you can interact with other characters and find collectibles. They are nice distractions that don’t serve the gameplay in any mean ingful way, but they do give players more context for the story and Actioncharacters.isstillpresent in the game, by way of intro ducing chase sequences where you have to run away from Zurks, the alien antag onists in the game. These sequences are thrilling and engaging, especially when compared to the stealth sequences you’re forced into at certain points. During a specific portion of the game, there are moments where you have to hide from a group of enemies. While keeping in spirit with being a cat, these parts of the game don’t feel as satisfying as the chases and the puzzle solving do. Mercifully, they are short and only appear towards the end of the game. Always landing on its feet “Stray” might feel like a mere novelty for some, but as another entry in the world of cinematic games, it does well to standPlayingout.as a cat is an obvious draw and control ling them can be fun most of the time. Despite having some moments that aren’t as engaging as the chases and puzzles, the game never feels overlong. You’re likely to finish it in a couple of hours if you ignore the extra content on offer and go straight through the main game.Ifyou’re a cat lover, know that “Stray” is a love letter to your furry friends that hasn’t existed until now. This video game offers all the joy of being a cat wrapped up in one little package that is sure to satisfy if you’re looking for an engaging and emotional story.Stray is available on PC and PlayStation 4/5 for $29.99.
