RIVERSIDE STUDENT KILLED BY BULLYING AT MIDDLE SCHOOL

he Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is saddened to share the 13-year-old victim from Landmark Middle School was pronounced clinically dead last night as a result of injuries sustained in the attack on Monday, September 16, 2019. Rigorous medical intervention and treatment efforts at an area hospital were unsuccessful. Preparations by Diego’s family are underway for organ donation to transform this tragedy into the gift of life for other children. The Sheriff’s Department joins the community in mourning the loss of this young man. The two suspects previously arrested for the assault which led to Diego’s

death remain in the custody of Riverside County Juvenile Hall, facing prosecution for this assault. Due to the age of the involved parties, no further details regarding this incident will be publicly released at this time. Violence in the communities served by the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department will not be tolerated, especially involving our youth. Los Angeles Ex-‘Arsenio Hall Show’ Drummer Guilty of Embezzling A professional drummer who has served as a musical director for the United Nations and “The Arsenio Hall Show” television program pleaded guilty to one count of wire fraud for embezzling $750,000 from a charity concert for homeless children and using the stolen money to pay alimony to his ex-wife and buy cars for his mother and son. Robin DiMaggio, 48, of Woodland Hills, entered his

plea before United States District Judge Dolly M. Gee, who scheduled a March 4, 2020 sentencing hearing. According to court documents, DiMaggio said he would assist the Peace for You Peace for Me Foundation, a Bulgaria-based non-profit organization, with organizing a charity concert in the Bulgarian capital of Sofia that was

ORANGE COUNTY MAN FOUND GUILTY OF SECOND DEGREE MURDER A jury found Adam John Kanas, 39, of San Clemente, guilty of second degree murder for killing 10-year old Kendra Geddis in 2016 after swerving across several lanes on the I-405 in Seal Beach and slamming into the back of the Tesla Geddis was riding in, killing Geddis and seriously injuring her 13-year-old sister and father. Kanas was driving while under the influence of central nervous system

depressants at the time. Kanas was also convicted of two counts of driving under the influence of drugs causing great injury and two enhancements for inflicting great bodily injury. He will be sentenced on January 10, 2020. He faces 41 years to life in state prison. On August 15, 2016 at approximately 9:20 a.m., Kanas was driving his 2013

Homicide Investigation Is Being Conducted In San Bernardino County On Monday, September 23, 2019, at approximately 7:34 p.m., deputies from the Hesperia Police Department responded to the 16200 block of Sultana Street following the report of shots heard. Upon arrival, deputies located several fired cartridge casings in the roadway. At 7:44 p.m., Sheriff’s Dispatch received a call that a victim, later identified as David Becerra, had

been dropped off at a local area hospital suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. Becerra was pronounced deceased at approximately 8:00 p.m. Sheriff’s Specialized Investigators, Homicide Detail responded to the location to conduct the investigation. Investigators believe the fired cartridge casings located on Sultana
