Fugitive Surrenders to Federal Agents in Los Angeles
Attempted Murder Suspect Arrested by San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department Deputies from the Fontana Sheriff’s Station responded to the 17900 block of San Bernardino Avenue in Bloomington in response to a shooting victim. When deputies arrived, they located the victim who was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Following an investigation, it was determined the victim was inside of an abandoned convalescent building and was shot multiple times by the suspect. Through
further investigation, investigators identified the shooter as Robert Villareal, and issued a warrant for his arrest. On Monday, March 25, 2019 at 2:53 p.m., Deputy Manuel Tristan from Central Station conducted a check of two suspicious persons suspected of narcotics activity. OC Court Sentences Convicted Bomb Maker to 19 years in Prison Convicted bomb maker Saleh Abdallah Ali was sentenced today to 19 years and four months in state prison for the transportation and possession of destructive devices in Brea. Saleh Ali, 48, Salinas, was convicted on March 4, 2019, of two felony counts each of use of a destructive device with the intent to injure, sale and transportation of a destructive device, and reckless and malicious possession of a destructive device on a public street or highway,
and one felony count of possession of materials with intent to unlawfully make destructive device. “Saleh Ali has spent the last two decades engaged in violent behavior that has left his victims severely injured and permanently disfigured,” said Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer. “It is clear he planned to continue that destruction here in Orange County. Driver That Killed Two Pedestrians Sentenced In Los Angeles Court
A
long-time international fugitive who is charged with nine felonies for allegedly participating in a $9 million bank fraud scheme against Wells Fargo has been taken into federal custody in Los Angeles. Napoleon Olarte, 41, formerly of Reseda, lived in South America as a fugitive since approximately 2011 and was indicted by a federal grand jury in 2017. He self-surrendered to federal law enforcement yesterday and his initial appearance on the criminal charges is scheduled for today in United States District Court. Olarte is the third and final defendant charged in the
mortgage fraud scheme. Olarte’s two co-conspirators – Juan Jose Calle and Nancy Karina Coleman – previously pleaded guilty to charges in the scheme and have served prison sentences in the case. Olarte fled to Venezuela when federal agents began investigating the case, and he had been living in Venezuela for much of his time as a fugitive. He relocated with his family to Uruguay in approximately November 2018. Shortly before to his move to Uruguay, federal agents established communication with

A 39-year-old Los Angeles man who killed two pedestrians while driving under the influence of alcohol during a police pursuit in 2008 has been sentenced to 17 years in state prison, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced. Sergio Rogelio Delgado pleaded no contest to
