PETER FRAMPTON TO RECEIVE LES PAUL AWARD IN ANAHEIM

Elderly Man Wanders from Duarte Assisted Living Facility Robert Jacoby, a 91-year-old man with Parkinson’s disease and a dementia-related memory problem, was relocated from the independent living to the assisted living unit of Westminster Gardens, a Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE), due to his high risk of elopement. It’s alleged that on July 24, 2018, just a few days after his transfer, Jacoby was allowed, due to the inattention of facility staff, to wander out of the building and into the facility’s courtyard, where he fell into an unfenced concrete drainage ditch. After being discovered by staff, he was transferred to Pomona Valley Medical Center where he was diagnosed with a brain hemorrhage. On August 29, 2018, Jacoby returned to the facility after undergoing rehabilitation SEE PAGE 3 therapy. After readmission, he

Driving Under the Influence Lands Man in Riverside County Jail ., La Quinta Police Officers responded a report of a traffic collision at the intersection of Highway 111 and Plaza La Quinta in La Quinta. Investigation revealed Tony Rios, 27 of Palm Desert, was driving in the area when he collided with a traffic sign. Rios was arrested for driving while under the influence of alcohol and transported to

a local hospital, as a precaution, prior to being booked into the Indio Jail. The La Quinta Police Department would like to remind everyone not to drink and drive. We are asking anyone with additional information of this incident to contact Officer M. Martinez at the Thermal Sheriff’s Station by calling 760-863-8990.

Ronchetti takes Leadership Role as Deputy Fire Marshal San Bernardino County Fire Chief Mark Hartwig is honored to announce the promotion of Monica Ronchetti to Deputy Fire Marshal, assigned to the Office of the Fire Marshal. As Deputy Fire Marshal, Ronchetti will oversee the Hazardous Materials CUPA GRAMMY® award-winning guitarist, singer, songwriter, and innovator Peter Frampton will receive the prestigious Les Paul Innovation Award at the 34th Annual NAMM Technical Excellence & Creativity Awards (NAMM TEC Awards), being held Saturday, January 26, 2019, in Anaheim, CA. The award is given to those individuals who personify the innovative thinking of Les Paul, the Father of Modern of Music. The Les Paul Foundation partners with NAMM each year to honor the individuals that have set the highest standards of excellence in

the creative application of recording technology, which also celebrates the legacy of the late, great Les Paul. He was a wonderful character as well as a genius! An incredible guitar player as well as the inventor of so much music technology. Les changed the way we record forever.
