A homeless individual, who resides in Monrovia, was recently placed into permanent housing thanks to efforts of city staff. During the past year, representatives from Community Activist Policing Bureau and the Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority (LAHSA) have been working with this individual to try
and help transition him from a lifestyle of living on the streets into a permanent and stable housing situation. During that time, there were a number of challenges that this individual had to overcome, and working together, these institutions were able to connect him with the proper programs and organizations. On June 30, 2018, the City coordinated a block party on Ivy Avenue to discuss the city’s proposed ACTV Monrovia bike lane project. At that meeting, in addition to feedback received about the city’s proposed bike lane project,
