HAWAIIAN AIRLINES STARTS SERVICE FROM LONG BEACH AIRPORT
H
awaiian Airlines’ (Hawaiian) inaugural flight from the Long Beach Airport (LGB) took off earlier today, with elec ted officials, Airport Director Jess L. Romo and other dignitaries joining executives from Hawaiian for the celebration. The airline will offer service with one flight daily from Long Beach to Honolulu. “We are so pleased to welcome Hawaiian Airlines to Long Beach Airport,” said Mayor Robert Garcia. “Our airport is consistently rated one of the best in the country and with
such accolades from the traveling community, airlines such as theirs with a similar focus on providing excellent customer service are eager to offer flights from LGB.” In January, the airline announced that it would begin offering daily, non-stop service between Long Beach and Honolulu. The flight will take place on its new Airbus A321neo aircraft, which is equipped with engine technology that makes it among the quietest and most efficient aircraft currently in the skies. “The airport now has yet another popular destination
for travelers, which also offers connections to international markets further abroad such as Asia and the South Pacific.” Hawaiian’s daily flights from LGB to Honolulu will depart at 8:30 a.m. and arrive at 11:40 a.m., giving passengers the ability to connect to neighboring islands or flights to other destinations if desired. The return flight departs from Honolulu at 12:30 p.m. and arrives in Long Beach at 9:00 p.m., allowing leisure travelers to enjoy every last minute of their vacation.
