Step into a world where gaming is a coding tool and robots come to life. Temple City Unified School District invites students, parents and members of the community to celebrate Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM). Join us on Friday, April 21 at Temple City High School for a funfilled evening showcasing the best of the District’ STEAM program. A full year of exhibitions culminates in one final showcase known as the TCUSD STEAM Expo. The 2017 Expo will feature 40 mostly student-led booths and activities. Explore coding, robotics, interactive games and much more alongside other STEAM enthusiasts. In addition to embracing innovation in the classroom, this year’s STEAM students have faced strong head to head competition in events like the JPL In-

The Expo provides attendees a chance to witness the talent that propelled those teams forward in competition as well as an opportunity to explore other school programs like Code to the Future. The District’s STEAM program exists to spark curiosity in the minds of students and serves as a pathway to ensuring they are able to meet the challenges of an increasingly technology-driven marketplace. “TCUSD is extremely proud of the students and teachers utilizing 21st century skills to promote learning,” said Curriculum Coordinator Soomin Chao. “The group is eager to share what they have learned and accomplished this year. The Expo is more than just a technology forum, it’s a celebration.
