Detectives from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Missing Persons Detail are seeking the public’s assistance in locating Christopher Jay Poland, a 40 year-old Caucasian male who was last seen leaving in his vehicle from a relative’s residence on East Fork Road, Azusa, at 2:30 a.m., Thursday, July 14, 2016. Later that same day, Poland’s vehicle was located on Glendora Ridge Road near mile marker 10. Poland is described as 6’02”, 220lbs., and has blond short hair and blue eyes. He was wearing gray shorts and brown work boots. Poland also has a 1”- 2” scar below his chin, a tattoo of a tree on his right lower leg, a tattoo of a starfish on his left elbow and two Vi-

Long Beach City Clerk Maria de la Luz Garcia announced that the City of Long Beach is calling for argument writers for the two City of Long Beach ballot measures appearing on the Nov. 8, 2016 California Statewide General Election ballot.

The city’s measure entitled, Long Beach Marijuana Taxation Measure, proposes to fund public safety, 9-1-1 emergency response, police officers, homelessness, and general city services, by updating gross receipts tax rates between 6 to 8 percent for medical marijuana dis-

pensaries, 8 to 12 percent for nonmedical marijuana dispensaries, 6 to 8 percent for processing, distributing, transporting or testing marijuana/related products and a square foot tax between $12 to $15 for marijuana cultivation, raising approximately $13 million annually,
