Police Seeking Public Assistance in Locating Commercial Burglary Suspects
Two suspects are wanted after burglarizing the CVS Pharmacy in the 1400 block South Baldwin Avenue in Arcadia, on May 25, at about 9:30 p.m. As one suspect distracted a pharmacist with a
“consultation,” the second suspect jumped the pharmacy counter and moved directly to a supply of bottled Promethazine with Codeine cough syrup. He grabbed a number of bottles and placed them in
a brown bag. Both suspects then ran out of the store through an emergency exit. No suspect vehicle was seen. Authorities are seeking public assistance in identifying SEE PAGE 16
to the various encounters between citizens and their unsettled neighbors. He informed that the Arcadia Police Department is responsive to concerns and is consistently seeking greater welfare for residents of all socioeconomic statuses.

City to Amend Sex Offender Registration The city council has voted to introduce an amendment to the municipal sex offender registration. The amendment would repeal part of the Arcadia Municipal Code to bring the city more in-line with recent state Supreme Court rulings. “There are still state
