Clifton Students Need Help to be ‘Shanghaied’

Clifton Middle School’s Robotics Team has been selected to represent the United States in a robotics competition in Shanghai, taking place June 3 to 5, but need help getting there. In order to fund the trip, a Go Fund Me Account has been set up
to help them (www.gofundme.com/ cliftonrobotics). The Clifton students are representing LA First Tech Challenge (FTC). “First” stands for “For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology,” an international robotics organization.
Live Oak Memorial Park Honors Those Who Served

The Live Oak Memorial Park and Mortuary will be hosting a special Memorial Day Ceremony to honor those who served our country. Ceremony will take place Monday, May 30, beginning at 10 a.m. at Live Oak Memorial Park and Mortuary (200 E. Duarte Road in Monrovia). All are welcome!
While the China Academy of Space Technology is sponsoring the trip and paying for all the students’ expenses while in China (including housing, food, and transportation), the students and their families are responsible for their own transportation there and any additional ex-
