Mayor Tornek Lauds Citizens’ Conservation Efforts BY GUS HERRERA This past Monday, March 7, the Pasadena City Council received an update on the city’s Level 4 Water Supply Shortage. Shari Thomas, interim general manager of Pasadena’s
Department of Water and Power, was pleased to inform the council that the Metropolitan Water District’s (MWD) construction projects have been progressing slightly ahead of schedule. The MWD projected that upgrades to their Weymouth Water
Treatment Plant in La Verne would be finished by Wednesday, March 9, instead of the originally proposed completion date of March 11. Barring any setbacks, this will hopefully allow the plant’s water supply to fully reach Pasadena by tomorrow,
