Fourteen Years Ago Almost 3,000 People Died as a Result of Terrorist Attacks

COMPLIMENTARY COPY VOLUME 19, NO. 37

BY TERRY MILLER I was supposed to visit my ailing father in New York early September 2001. My family had decided later in year would be better for visiting, when his cancer treatments were at a minimum. Of course, it would be much later due to the fact that no aircraft was to fly into or around New York for many days post 9/11. I managed to get the last seat on a Jet Blue flight to Kennedy on Sept. 26. The aircraft was full, many service men and women; firefighters and National Guard. It was a somber flight indeed. I visited my parents but, as a photojournalist, my quest to get down to “ground zero” was pressing. SEE PG. 8

The affidavit in support of the complaint outlines a scheme in which the purported attorney and his daughter lined up U.S. citizen “spouses” for their clients, coached the couples on how to make the marriages appear genuine when questioned by immigration authorities, prepared and

On Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015 at approximately 4:56 a.m., Temple Station deputies responded to a “vehicle vs. building traffic collision” call. When the deputies arrived they saw a vehicle had crashed through a local business in the 8400 block of Garvey Avenue, Rosemead and into a house located in the rear of the business. Two residents inside the house sustained minor injuries, one of the residents
