On Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at approximately 5:52 P.M., in the 600block of North 20th Street, Montebello, Carmen King F/H 63 was stabbed to death. Monterey Park Police are looking for two men in connection with vehicle burglaries and credit card fraud in Monterey Park and in the greater San Gabriel Valley area. The suspects were identified during the investigation of a vehicle burglary that occurred in the area of Alhambra Ave. and Emerson Ave. in Monterey Park in January 2013. Warrants have been issued for both suspects in connection with the case. Brian Gilbert Renteria, age 25, is a parolee-at-large and known to be armed and dangerous. He is wanted for a parole violation in addition to the Monterey Park burglary. He may also be involved in burglaries from daycare centers in the Arcadia area. Burbank City Council adopts general plan The Burbank City Council has adopted the Burbank2035 General Plan to guide the city's future growth and development. Council approved the Burbank2035 plan during its meeting on February 19, 2013, setting forth a longrange policy document that focuses on how the City plans for expected growth and change in population and jobs, while protecting the characteristics that make Burbank a special place to live, work, and play. Burbank2035 is the result of an extensive community planning process that

included tremendous input from the public, non-profit organizations, advocacy groups, public agencies, industry and business representatives, City Boards and Commissions, and the Burbank City Council. Monterey Park daycare facilities targeted by vehicle burglary suspects Monterey Park Police are warning residents to beware of vehicle burglaries occurring at child daycare facilities and preschools. During the month of February, several victims reported that their vehicle windows were smashed; purses and personal property were taken while victims checked their children into daycare. Residents are warned not to leave any personal property in their vehicles, even for a short period of time. The burglaries occurred within a five minute time frame and the property taken was left in plain sight in the victim vehicles. Within

a short time period after the burglaries occurred, credit cards belonging to victims were used to purchase gas, food, and various merchandise on the Internet. Police investigators recently arrested Tamara Rios, 20, of West Covina, for alleged burglary and forgery in connection with a vehicle burglary that occurred in the 300 block of N. Alhambra Ave. Two additional suspects are wanted in connection with that crime. The suspect vehicle, silver 1999 Dodge Durango, was recently impounded and several designer brand purses and wallets were located in
