Dear Parents, By the grace of Allah we have concluded our first term.

This term was not only meaningful but filled with a lot of fun and learning activities for the students as well as for the parents. Students through different activities were kept engaged

In-house Training BSS believes that In-house trammg and School based professional development is essential for staff to compete in the contemporary competing world; as it encourages team building, adopting relevant educational pedagogy and better understanding of what is required from them.Keeping this in mind the administration of BSTR-Kis regularly conducting inhouse training sessions related to ICT and teaching strategies along with model lessons to help new employees learn the approaches through observation and hands on practice. We also ensure immediate on the job application of newly learnt skills for quality learning. Not only provides them confidence but also refreshes the skills of the experienced staff that they use on a day-to-daybasis.

A Colourful Encounter The students of Pre-Nursery celebrated "Clown Day" on 12th Sep, 14. The main objective of celebrating this day was the identification of primary colours.

Students wore primary coloured clothes. They learnt about colours through different-activities and were fascinated by the clown and also identified primary colours in his dress.

BSTR-K celebrated toy day on Friday, 19th Sep, 14. Students brought their favourite toys and each one of them spoke a few sentences about their toy. This activity helped build upon their confidence and remove stage fear. They were also taught the concept of sharing when they were asked to giveand playwith each other's toys.

IWishes Do Come True

I

The management of BSTR-K gave a chance to the students to put their wishes on a barren tree with.the promise to fulfill them. From each class, students hung their wishes like more swings in school, a visit to the zoo, toy day etc. Nursery yellow wished for helium balloons on Friday.

This wish was granted and it made them very happy. Now rests of the students are waiting for their turn as they know that their wish will be fulfilled soon.

Stay Dignified Global Dignity Day was celebrated by the staff and students of BSTR-K with full zeal and zest. A small function was organized to make children realize the significance of this day. The whole school participated in different activities. Students talked about the universal rights of every human being to lead a dignified life. The message they conveyed was to respect others in order to be respected. Little ones presented role plays in a beautiful manner that showed love, care, kindness, tolerance, honour and respect for each other. At the end of function, the students of KG-blue presented crowns to the junior staff to honour, them.

Pet Day

To study animals closely, children brought their pets to school. The young learners were filled with excitement on seeing interesting animals ranging from tiny cute birds to a large graceful horse. This activity was basically integrated with the subject 'Knowledge and understanding of the world around us'.

Positive learning took place as the children played about with each other's pets. This day was full of enjoyment and learning for everyone.

Florescent Day To familiarize students with secondary colours, BSTR-K celebrated colour week. Several group activities were planned for all students. They mixed primary colours to create purple, pink, brown and orange colours. They did painting, finger printing and collage work. To ~ conclude this week, mothers were invited on "Florescent Day". Themes were allocated level wise. The mothers of Pre-Nursery students worked with their children on making Art work related to "Garden", Nursery's theme was "Life under water" and KG's theme was "Flora and Fauna".

A lot of learning took place through hands on experience at this event.

All parents appreciated this healthy activity.

Food vs. Junk Food

I

These days children are fond' of consuming junk food most of the time. To inculcate the importance of healthy food in young children, the staff of Pre-Nursery organized Sandwich Day on Friday, 14th Nov, 14 in which they helped students to make sandwiches using chicken and vegetables. The disadvantages of junk food were also discussed with the students on that day.

Coffee Morning In order to accomplish the goal of removing stage the fear of our students, the Pre-Nursery staff and management of BSTR-K decided to organize "Coffee Morning". All the children performed role plays on the stage independently and faced the audience confidently.

Parents enjoyed the performances of their young ones with coffee and snacks. This activity was highly appreciated by the parents.

Young Champions of Sports Spectrum We are pleased to inform you that 12 Students from Nursery and KG classes of our branch were selected to participate in the Sports Spectrum held at BSS Wah Cantt on merit. They participated in various games and overall got the third position. This is a great achievement of our young champions and we are proud of them.
