Respected Parents As in all other fields of life, the education scenario is also undergoing rapid changes. New educational reforms have identified some important techniques of improved learning which every school should strive for. Projects Based Learning is one of these techniques which has proved its efficacy and encouraged students to work on a problem in depth, rather than covering many topics superficially. Beaconhouse firmly believes in adopting techniques which not only enhance the students’ learning abilities but also groom them for future challenges. New teaching methodologies emphasise more on project and practical based learning for the students. It is a general observation that we all learn best by ‘doing’. In this term, some of the projects have been planned for all levels in which students will engage in learning activities such as field trips, interviews, and online collaboration through social networking and emailing. All of these activities are aimed at enhancing their: Communication and presentation skills Organisation and time management skills Research and inquiry skills Self-assessment and reflection skills Working in groups will polish their group participation and leadership skills. The mode of teaching for these modules will be a combination of technology-integrated approach and self-investigation. I firmly believe that we will have your full support and cooperation as always. Together we can help our children explore new vistas of learning and practical knowledge. Farrukh Kamal Headmistress
