WARE HANDLING SERVO MECHANISM

BDF, first in the world on the 1992, has designed and implemented in the I.S. Machines the Servo Invert and Take-Out mechanisms with the objective to reduce the defects in the finish and neck area.

The result of this engineering program has been the realisation of a new state-of-the-art on the glass technology for the electronic control systems and for the servo mechanisms controlled by brushless servo motors with mathematical interpolation motion profiles.

BELT DRIVEN TAKE-OUT ARM • Motion without back-lash and vibrations • Light-weight construction with low inertia thaT means less mechanical stress for the take-out mechanism • Higher accurate alignment of tongs over the finish mould • Very high reliability • Reduced maintenance costs

Main features • Use of new technology synchronous belt for high • torque and high temperature (up to 185° C) • Housing and cover in aluminum with gasket to prevent pollution inside • Belt tensioning with pulley and eccentric • Belt tensioning in outside direction (positive tensioning) • Supports of shaft with balls and needle roller bearing • Anti-rotation safety system in case of belt broken

MODULAR TAKE-OUT TONG HOLDERS • The sum of single errors in thE dimensional chain (take out mech. arm) can be perfectly compensated • Every movable take-out head can be clamped without loosing the calibration • Excellent bottle handling with blow moulds closed • Excellent bottle handling on thread • The same module is available to configure the tong holders in SG - DG - TG

• Totally electric pusher mechanism controlled by two torque-motors • Accurate ware positioning on the conveyor with the possibility to adjust the angular and parallel positions of the ware with reference to the conveyor center-line • Possibility to independent speed control of each part of the motion cams • Possibility of fine acceleration control on the pusher-out cam • Speed and acceleration diagram display for each part of the motion cams with possibility of modification • Absolute motion repeatability due to the electronic cams profile with polynomial interpolation • Cam generator program to make or modify the cams profile for special or unstable conveyor ware handling; • Cam simulator to check new generated cams • Good unstable ware handling • Very good performance on DG - TG high speed conveyors up to 70 m/min

• Use of two coaxial torque motors • Articulated pentalateral linkage for the control of the fingers position • No belt transmissions and reduction-gear but only motor linkage connection • Low inertia and high rigidity mechanism • Very high reliability
