The University of Warwick is one of the UK’s top ten universities and Europe’s top university founded in the last 50 years. Warwick has a robust reputation for teaching and research, its links with business and industry, and is also the most often targeted by the largest employers in the UK. Its staff and students are from over 150 nationalities. A campus based university; Warwick is located at the border of Coventry and Warwickshire. UK’s 2nd largest city, Birmingham, is only 20 minutes and London about an hour away from Coventry by train. WMG Scholarships Awards will be up to 50% of tuition fees will be offering £500,000 worth of scholarships for Masters study across its programmes. The University of York was established in 1963 and, in only 51 years, it established its position as one of the world’s top 100 universities. It is a research intensive university and very proud of the fact that all its teaching is delivered by academics who are at the forefront of research in their area of expertise. The University’s best ranked departments include Biosciences (4th in the UK), English Literature (1st in the UK for the quality of our research), Psychology, Politics, Law, Social Policy (all ranked within the top 10 in the UK). By UK standards, York is a fairly small institution, meaning that it is able to provide a very high staff-student ratio, which leads both to a very supportive learning environment and to a community feel. The University operates a tutorial system very similar to the one at Oxford and Cambridge, where every student is assigned a personal supervisor, with whom they will meet at least once a week, to discuss the latest issues in their particular area of study.
