La Guida bcool è stata suddivisa in sezioni per consentirvi di avere tutte le informazioni necessarie per vivere al meglio la città di Milano.Troverete una selezione di musei e gallerie d’arte per passare una parte della vostra giornata dedicata alla cultura per poi passare alle location denominate Place To be, quei luoghi in cui dovrete assolutamente recarvi durante il vostro soggiorno perché vi lasceranno senza fiato ed infine una selezione di ristoranti suddivisi per tipologia di offerta gastronomica e culinaria con un occhio d’attenzione anche per lo street food e le bakery molto in voga negli ultimi anni. Infine gli hotel dove soggiornare e rilassarsi dopo una giornata in giro per le vie della città.

La mission di flashback è da sempre unire e far coesistere epoche e ambiti diversi: con il sottotitolo all art is contemporary è riuscita in questi anni a proporre una nuova visione dell’arte dove il momento della fruizione è ciò che determina la contemporaneità di un’opera. Sarà quindi un piacere attraversare Le rive di un altro mare con i galleristi, i collezionisti e il pubblico che sempre più si sono lasciati coinvolgere dalla parola d’ordine della fiera: mixité.

The 6th edition of flashback, the most contemporary fair of ancient and modern art is on its way, at Pala Alpitour in Turin from 1st to 4th November 2018.

This year’s fil rouge was suggested by the science fiction novel ‘The Shores of Another Sea’, by the author and anthropologist Chad Oliver, which talks about the dialogue that takes place between different cultures and origins.

Flashback’s mission has always been to bring together and promote the co-existence of different eras and contexts: with the sub-title ‘all art is contemporary’, in recent years it has succeeded in offering a new vision of art where the time when it is used is what determines the work’s contemporaneity. It will therefore be a pleasure to cross The Shoes of Another Sea with the gallery owners, collectors and the public who have become increasingly interested in the fair’s key word: mixité.

Le fabbriche dismesse, veri e propri monumenti di archeologia industriale, sono state trasformate in laboratori, studi e nuovi spazi creativi. In questo scenario il Comune di Milano progetta un polo multidisciplinare dedicato alle diverse testimonianze e culture del mondo, sede espositiva delle civiche Raccolte etnografiche. Il Museo delle Culture, concepito in un contesto socio-economico molto diverso dall’attuale, ha dovuto essere ripensato alla luce di una complessità forse non immaginabile alla fine degli anni Novanta. All’interno troverete inoltre un ristorante e un elegante bistrot multiculutrale.

In line with constant efforts on the behalf of the municipal authorities to preserve the memory of the economic and social processes that have shaped the city’s identity, the Milan City Council took steps in 1990 to buy the old Ansaldo industrial plant at Porta Genova and use it for cultural services. The disused factories, authentic monuments of industrial archaeology, have been converted into studios, workshops and new creative spaces. In continuity with its original vocation but also in response to the need for recognition and revaluation manifested by the foreign communities that have found opportunities to develop and put down roots in the city, Milan Council decided to create the Mudec Museum of Cultures in the old Ansaldo area to house and display the municipal collections of ethnographic material. Inside you will find a restaurant and an elegant multicultural bistro. La Pinacoteca di Brera venne ufficialmente istituita nel 1809, sebbene una prima eterogenea raccolta di opere fosse già presente a partire dal 1776 – e ampliata negli anni successivi- con finalità didattiche, a fianco dell’Accademia di Belle Arti voluta da Maria Teresa d’Austria.

Il corpus doveva infatti costituire una collezione di opere esemplari, destinate alla formazione degli studenti.

Il Museo del Duomo venne inaugurato nel 1953, a cura dello studioso Ugo Nebbia, ma l’idea della sua realizzazione era già nata nel penultimo decennio dell’Ottocento dall’esigenza di non disperdere e di valorizzare tutto il materiale non in opera sul Duomo, legato alla sua storia e alla sua costruzione. Nel 1948 la Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo aveva ottenuto la concessione da parte del Demanio di Stato di nove sale situate al piano terreno dell’ala più antica di Palazzo Reale, già dimora visconteo-sforzesca, sistemata dall’architetto Piermarini nella seconda metà del Settecento. Si ebbe finalmente la sede idonea per ospitare ed esporre le opere da salvaguardare, la cui quantità era notevolmente aumentata dopo i danni inferti dai bombardamenti del secondo conflitto mondiale. Il degrado di molte opere d’arte, causato dall’inquinamento atmosferico, e la disponibilità di altro materiale proveniente da magazzini della Fabbrica o dalle sacrestie del Duomo, rese ben presto necessario un maggior spazio espositivo.

The Cathedral Museum was opened in 1953 by the art critic Ugo Nebbia, but the idea took shape in the last quarter of the nineteenth century, when it became necessary to find a way of keeping together and preserving the huge amount of material connected with the history and construction of the Cathedral. In 1948 the Fabbrica del Duomo obtained the concession from the State Property Department for nine rooms located on the ground floor of the oldest wing of Palazzo Reale, formerly the residence of the Visconti and Sforza families, renovated by the architect Piermarini in the second half of the eighteenth century. At last suitable premises were available to house and exhibit the works to be preserved, which had significantly increased in number after the damage caused by the bombing in the Second World War. The deterioration of many works of art, caused by atmospheric pollution, and the influx of further material from the Fabbrica storerooms and the Cathedral vestries soon made a larger exhibition area necessary. All the dishes come from Cantonese and Hong Kong cuisine and are made with great care starting from the ingredients, mostly organic. In an open and relaxed ambiance strongly characterised by the presence of wood (mu), guests can savour dim sums & tea following the yum cha rite (with more than ten varieties of Chinese black, green, and white tea to choose from) while the lunch and supper menus take a more classical yet always original approach and feature main dishes too.

Durante la bella stagione lo spazio estivo accoglie i propri ospiti tra divani di design in PVC bianco e palme, con la possibilità di usufruire delle due sale interne in caso di maltempo, arredate in stile lounge con grandi e comodi divani. Nelle 10 station bar avviene una meticolosa cura e studio per la preparazione di cocktails. Il palco per spettacoli di musica dal vivo e i 3 dancefloor (1 estivo e 2 al coperto) garantiscono un divertimento di qualità. Aperti al pubblico dal giovedì al sabato (anche ad Agosto) dalle 19:00 alle 03:00 la formula, che piace, non cambia: la serata comincia con l’aperitivo con un ricco buffet, preparato dalla brigata di cucina e prosegue, a seconda delle serate, con musica dal vivo e DJ set fino a tarda notte.

At our 10 station bars you’ll find meticulous attention to detail when preparing cocktails. The live music stage and three dancefloors (one outdoor and two indoor) guarantee quality entertainment. Open to the public from Thursday to Saturday (including in August) our popular 7pm to 3am formula never changes: the evening starts with an aperitif and a fantastic buffet, prepared by the kitchen staff, and continues, depending on the evening, with live music and a late-night DJ set. Si presenta secondo la definizione di Koolhaas come “un collage di temi ed elementi preesistenti” che combina opere d’arte e arredi di design. Occupa una superficie di 215 m² suddivisa in due aree: il bar e il ristorante. Sono caratterizzati dal contrasto tra le ampie vetrate a tutta altezza, e i toni caldi del parquet, della boiserie in legno di noce e dei pannelli in canapa che rivestono le pareti. Il bar ha un bancone centrale, con una bottigliera sospesa con distillati e liquori internazionali, dove è possibile consumare un cocktail e un light dinner.

La terrazza esterna, a pianta triangolare, si affaccia sullo spazio urbano e presenta la pavimentazione in porfido e griglie metalliche caratteristica degli esterni della Fondazione Prada.

Housed on the sixth and seventh floor of the new building that is part of the Milan premises of the Fondazione Prada, designed by Rem Koolhaas with Chris van Duijn and Federico Pompignoli from Studio OMA. According to Koohaas’ definition, it is “a collage of pre-existent themes and elements” that combines works of art with design furniture. It occupies a surface area of 215 m² divided into two areas: the bar and the restaurant. Both are characterised by the contrast between the large, floor-to-ceiling windows and the warm hues of the parquet floor, the walnut boiserie and the hemp panels covering the walls. The bar has a central counter, with a suspended cellar containing international spirits and liqueurs, and where it is possible to enjoy a cocktail or a light dinner. The outdoor, triangular terrace looks down onto the urban space and is paved in porphyry stone and metal grilles, that are characteristic of the outdoor areas of the Fondazione Prada. Il titolare è Roberto Bertamè che non manca di insegnare il mestiere al figlio Lorenzo che nel 2004 rileva l’attività del padre. Ed è proprio lui a sognare prima e a realizzare poi un ambizioso progetto: un’officina che diventi anche un luogo da vivere e non solo di servizio. Apre così il 10 marzo 2016 la trattoria Bertamè, che va ad aggiungersi all’attività di officina storica e al negozio di design, Be More. Un vero e proprio spazio polivalente perfetto per i clienti in attesa di una riparazione ma anche per gli abitanti del quartiere. Un modo attuale di concepire gli spazi, inclusivi e versatili. La trattoria Bertamé Milano è un luogo allegro e colorato, privo di fronzoli ma in cui la presentazione delle portate è curata.

This is made possible thanks to an approach that is at the same time methodical and open to innovation, to a solid competence and to the rigorous application of the rules. The path for making a plate is very long and complex; sometimes it takes months before a dish enters to be part of the menu and several attempts because Claudio Sadler considers himself satisfied. The recipes, in general, are born first at the table with pastel drawings that allow the chef to study the correct balance of the chromaticity of the ingredients, and then arrive in the kitchen.

Filz is a small cocktail bar with kitchen in Porta Romana. It is reminiscent of a 1950s soda shop with its burgundy and golden hues. There are no tables; everyone sits around the counter, sipping cocktails and eating traditional kebab skewers with an international twist. The kitchen is open from 6.30pm to late at night. It is perfect for an evening alone or with friends.

Filz was born from an idea by a family of travellers with a lot of experience working overseas. After many years spent in Asia and Africa, they decided to come back home. They were naturally much changed from their encounters with different food cultures and decided to create something new that could express the strength of their origins together with the tones and colours they absorbed overseas in the food they offered.

Deep in the heart of Franciacorta, where the Iseo lake meets the scenic, sunbathed PreAlps hills and their the sparkling air, is located the town of Cazzago S.Martino, one of the 19 towns belonging to the protected and controlled area where Franciacorta wine can be produced. Here, the Ambrosini family, is passionately dedicated to farming 8 hectares of Chardonnay, white Pinot and black Pinot vineyard since the second half of the 20th century. The Ambrosini describe their philosophy as follows: promote the excellent local wines. Alongside its very long wine making tradition the Ambrosini family has added an agriturism activity, offering traditional dishes of the Franciacorta territory; amongst these the undoubtedly most famous “Spiedo Bresciano”, roasted with care following the traditional recipe. (Spiedo Bresciano is a selection of various meats - cow, pork, chicken, wild meat - lard and vegetables roasted on the spit).

Dentro una bottiglia di vino dell’Astemia Pentita vengono sublimati e custoditi i guizzi del tempo, l’annoverarsi delle piogge, la fermezza dei giorni caldi, la freschezza della primavera ed il silenzio dei lunghi inverni ma soprattutto il lavoro orchestrale di chi affronta la vigna e i suoi segreti.

Around every corner of this precious area of Franciacorta you may catch glimpses of the past re-emerging in the medieval hamlet of Villa: from the Roman road that skirts the river and runs through the property, to the ancient well set beside the drive way and the perfectly preserved underground cellars dating back to centuries past. Environmental protection and the restoration of the ancient hamlet are examples of how an ardent philosophy of life such as that of Villa Franciacorta can produce concrete results. The Bianchi family’s awareness of its role as guardian of a unique terroir ensures that all the wines are produced exclusively from grapes grown on its own 37 hectares of vineyards.
