Faculty and Staff Notes BC High is pleased to welcome our newest faculty and staff members who joined us at the beginning of the 2017-2018 school year. Elisa Antonuccio is teaching Spanish in the high school. In addition to a law degree from Universidad Central de Venezuela and Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics from the University of Massachusetts, Boston, she has 15 years of teaching experience. Marilee Bennis is teaching social studies in the Arrupe Division. Marilee has a BS in Secondary Social Studies Education from Boston University and a MEd in Moderate Special Needs Education from Boston College, and has 10 years of experience teaching middle school social studies. Karen Celano joined the religious education department. Karen earned a BA from John Hopkins University and MTS from University of Notre Dame, where she was also a teaching fellow for undergraduates. Seasoned guidance counselor, Jennifer Hornby, has joined the Arrupe guidance office. She has a BA in Psychology from Fairfield University and a MS in School Counseling from Southern Connecticut State University. The religious education department welcomes Tom Jackson. Tom has an AB in Theology from Harvard University and MA in Theology form the University of Notre Dame.
Kassaundra Przelomski is teaching physics in the high school. She earned a BS in physics from Bridgewater State University.
Matt King ’10 has returned to BC High to teach in the religious education department. Matt has a BA in religious studies from Holy Cross and a MEd in Alliance of Catholic Education (ACE) Program from University of Notre Dame. Sarah Nolan joined the high school guidance department from the Montrose School where she was Director of College Guidance. She has a BA from Providence College and an MSW from the University of Maryland.
Religious education teacher Jennifer Manning, her husband Tim ‘03 welcomed their third child, Clare on November 11. Religious education teacher Jillian Maxey’s, Reflections from a Millennial Teaching Millennials was published in the Chronicle of Higher Education. Maxey is also a PhD candidate in comparative theology at Boston College. Reverend Jim O’Neil, SJ celebrated 70 years in the Society of Jesus at the Jesuit Jubilee this past fall.
The Hyde Center for Global Education is pleased to welcome James Sennette to the team. He has a BA from University of Texas, Austin and Ed M from Harvard University. James has taught French and English in Texas, Massachusetts, and abroad. Kyle Swords is the newest addition to the guidance department. Kyle has a BA in Psychology from Providence College and MA in Counseling from Boston College.
Religious education teacher Peter Skipper P’09 retired from the BC High faculty this past summer. Skipper was awarded the Paul Hunter ’53 Man for Others Award at this year’s Athletic Hall of Fame induction ceremony for his nearly 40 years of teaching, coaching, and mentoring.
Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Rector of the BC High community, Reverend Brian Conley, SJ recently celebrated 25 years in the Society of Jesus.
Working for more than 13 years in athletic administration, most recently at UMass, Boston, BC High welcomes Oderra Jones as the new assistant athletic director. He has a BS in Communications from Eastern Connecticut State University and MS in Sports Management from Sam Houston State University. Whitney Koch is teaching biology and anatomy physiology in the high school. She has a BS in Neuroscience from St. Lawrence University and is pursuing a MEd at Boston College.
Campus Minister Huy Huynh, wife Lizzy, and big sister Vy welcomed baby Wesley to their family in October.

Gabriella Vannoni of the science department was married this past summer. She is pictured at her wedding with her brothers, Daniel ‘01 and Alex ‘03, and her cousin, Simon Moreira ‘18.
